I'm sorry I didn't have time to finish up another "Roger's Story" installment for you this evening, but I do still have more than a few customer obligations in the shop that need attending to as well, and a couple of those ran quite a bit long today.
There will be the final three RS installments next week, and after that, additional strips and/or extra artwork will be posted whenever such things...

The most recent milestone was to go back and finish up most of the uncolored/uninked strips- at least, as many as possible- and I specifically included the infamous lost 2006 Halloween color strip. Today's Halloween episode is, in fact, that strip!
I'd recently found the old line art, re-scanned it, reworked and updated it, just in time for it's 10th Anniversary! :)
Several of the strips (such as "Starslip") have long since ended, and in two cases- the ferret at the turntables and ...

The Halloween strip took longer than anticipated so I didn't have a chance to finish up today's "Roger's Story" strip. Instead, here's another unused strip from the recent storyline at Howie's. The punchline was kinda 'meh', and I couldn't think of a better one, so it didn't make it into the rotation, Like the other unused strip, the artwork, however, did get repurposed for other strips.

As you ladies and gents blew right past my last milestone, I figured I'd best get moving on it. That promise was to catch up on all- or as many as I can- of the old strips that I hadn't finished for one reason or another, usually for time constraints.
A helpful Guild member whipped up a good list of them, mostly through the start of the color, and I'll be chewing my way through that one probably right up 'til the end of the year.
That's only an additional four a week or so... on to...

I didn't have time this evening to finish up another "Roger's Story" strip, so to thank all you patrons, here's a strip from this summer's buffer, that I didn't use. I'd spent quite a bit of time this past early spring trying to build up a good buffer, in case work got ahead of me over the summer, and I was pretty thankful for it on more than a few occasions. :)
But, I'd drawn up several strips before I put a real "storyline" together, so in some cases the early dialogue had to be changed when...

On the plus side, maybe we'll finally get to see the (in)famous color Halloween strip from waaaaay back when (it's color, too.)

Additions will include fan-favorites Larry & Daryl and Robin, as well as recent side characters like the white ermine guy, the brown bunny guy, and I'm pretty sure there was a koala in there somewhere.
Then there's Sarge and some of the fire-station guys, Packrat, Kasi's mom, and Jake's cow-orker Duncan. Oh, and at least two upcoming new characters we haven't even seen yet!
