Today I have a showcase post for the Primaris Ancient Games Workshop kindly sent me to paint, quite a fun model with two poses and a few alternate heads and weapons. Later this week we'll have another showcase post, and the runes have been cast for a top secret review on Saturday ;)

I can finally show you what I painted this week! Games Workshop kindly sent me the new Primaris Space Marine characters to review, and I decided to add the Ancient to my Silver Skulls collection. I broke the top of the banner tip and struggle with the lettering, but I hope to finish this model this weekend :)

So, what have I've been up to the last couple of days? Well, I finished the final three Skeleton Warriors to complete my unit of 10, then primed a couple of Dominion of Sigmar pillars to combine them with the base plate from the old Arcane Ruins set. I got the baseplate a while ago on ebay, it has a large skull on it and is perfect for my Shyish themed scenery collection.

Almost done with my final batch of Skeleton Warriors, just need to finish the shield and bases... these were taking longer than expected (everything I do takes longer than expected lol), as I'm super busy preparing a lot of (video) reviews and content. Games Workshop sent us a lot of stuff I can't talk about yet, plus the Speedpaint review for next week, well good thing is you'll be spoiled with a lot of pretty cool posts soon :)

They‘re here! These are currently hyped by a lot of YouTubers, but yeah… I got a few prototypes early and I‘m not yet convinced they‘re better than Contrast. I have to experiment with them more. An in-depth review will be my next video project.

My next project will be a unit of classic Skeleton Warriors. I already painted a test model a couple of months ago, and now I want to bring the unit to a legal size. I'm going to add some Finecast "Von Carstein" shields, an upgrade pack that was available for some time during the final Vampire Lords release of Warhammer Fantasy. Should add a nice personal touch.
Btw, starting December, Guardian tier patrons will also be able to enjoy my regular WIP updates, so hi :)
