So this was supposed to be a colored sketch, but the reasons the lines look so clean is because I tried something new. Essentially I took that really rough sketch at the start (for pose approval), and then just started drawing over top similar to how I would ink drawings. I thought I had the ability to predict where all the lines would go even without a detailed sketch to work from, and it turns out... I was right! And it took a similar amount of time as a detailed sketch would have taken me....

I tried to show their individual personalities in their poses, rather than having them standing separately in a neutral pose. I also brought them close together to help show they're meant to be a pair, and are related. :3

I didn't do ink lines again for this comic, just like the Olympics one, and I think it paid off again! I feel ink lines aren't that necessary for me. I draw pretty cleanly, so cleaning up the sketch a little bit saves me a ton of time and energy and doesn't really reduce the appeal of it. Sorry for the late post! I was expecting two different commissions to be approved by now, but that hasn't happened, so I'm diving back into some archived artwork. ^^;
This is probably my favorite Halloween picture so far. There's a reason why this art of Ryan is in my Patreon banner. I've also included the versions of dialogue I went through before settling on the final one.

This was made to go along with any spooky/scary games I play! The eye and tongue colors were purposely darkened to add value contrast, to improve readability at the smaller sizes. Originally it had an exclamation point, but I decided it cluttered the silhouette too much and wouldn't be very legible at the smallest size anyway.

One thing I've struggled with is drawing arms resting at the side of a character, but having them look natural doing so. That's why this pose looks pretty basic haha. I wanted to practice this specific thing. :p

Here's my first new commission in about six weeks! It's a reference sheet for TigerKingQuinton's snake character named Quinton. I've been getting asked to draw a bunch of snakes lately for some reason haha. Maybe I'm better at drawing them than I thought.
The main difference between the first and second pass is the heavier tail that now drags along the ground behind him. I also adjusted the character's expression and hood size.
