These images show really well my process of developing a painting! I start with a sketch, add flat colors underneath, then I do a very basic shadow/lighting layer in order to get a color palette to work from. When I paint, in order to keep colors consistent (and work faster), I sample from the colors already on the canvas and just spread them around as needed to render the characters further and further. I originally drew this way back in March, and was planning to develop it further, but never did! Now that I'm doing some anatomy studies, this is probably going to become outdated fast, so I'm going to share it now before that happens.
Long story short, I wanted to explore alternate outfits for Tem, and this was one of them! I guess it's some sort of hybrid between an adventurer and a pirate, or something? :p
In any case, it probably needs something more to it, but I'll share this...

The bottom-right instrument was almost changed to a trombone, but I recommended the commissioner against it because it would make the sticker very wide, which is a problem for Telegram stickers. You generally want to avoid making stickers that are more than 2:1 in width/height or height/width or else it'll make the sticker very small in the end. Why? Because the sticker needs to fit into a 512x512 box! Shrinking the longest side down will scale down the shortest side along with it.
