Normally afternoon lighting is really tricky to get right because you feel compelled to make everything big and bright, but shadowing is actually really important for it too! You have to focus on light direction more than the amount of light. For example, shading vertical surfaces can be really important.

I made a bunch of tweaks to the faces and even the collage as I did this, but I'm pretty happy with the final product. :3

The main change between the script and the final page was that last little bit of dialogue. I changed it to "I won't get hurt" because circumstances led to him getting hurt too, and not necessarily just others.

Also yes, I just scribbled in where the collage would be. It saved time. xD

I'm still completely stunned by the amount of subs and donations that happened during my first Affiliate stream today. I was literally speechless at one point. I feel like drawing and coloring Nes, so I'm going to be making a stream out of it tonight! If I still have energy after, we'll do a little Subnautica 2. Maybe some base building, perhaps?

Here's a tied down version! The story behind this was Eoin fell hard while learning to rollerblade recently, to the point he had to get a scan of his ankle to make sure it was fine (it was!). But it gave me this idea of Waffles (his BF) carrying him home while Eoin holds onto him lovingly. :3

It's something I've wanted to do for a while now. Back when I did the Patron Celebration Week in December, it was what I was planning to finish off the week with, but alas I just didn't have the time or energy for it, and my schedule has been too crammed since!

For this, I started with the cooking pot because the perspective and composition of the scene hinged on it. Plus, it's more easy for me to draw a character interacting with an object drawn first...
