Topic Video Question

What was your scariest movie experience and why?

View Post

Someone please answer this question for me

Who in the world watches Stephen Colbert? Any of you? Your friends? Relatives? I genuinely want to know. Watching clips of his show now is like being part of a dystopian novel of the future. It chills me to the bone because there seems to be absolutely no irony at all in this so-called "writing." I just saw his "vaccine dance" and retweeted it via Eric Weinstein on twitter......holy shit. It made me want to throw up. This is the end, beautiful friends. I have seen a glimpse of our eminent dow...

Any Dance Enthusiasts?

Holy crap ya'll....I was watching the Swan Lake Odette solo recently with Misty Copeland of all people. I've never been a fan of her dancing or her style but wow....this was perhaps the most glaringly flawed performance by a professional I have seen. Her posture, her sloppy footwork, poor technique. It was shocking. This is not professional level of dancing, nor does she have the right kind of body line to play Odette, just on a superficial level. It's a very specific carriage and movement re...

October

Hey guys. October is one of my favorite review months naturally...because I get to focus a bit on horror. I'm going to talk about some underrated horror movies soon. I'd like to know what some of your recommendations are. Also...I'm going to do a Blair-Witch Project review to start things off. It was surprisingly good!

This video has always stuck with me

The interviewers are complete morons but Norm, as always, is fascinating.

30K

I'm coming up on 30,000 subscribers. Every 10,000 I hit feels like a huge milestone. I'd like to thank you all for your support, but especially those of you here on Patreon. It genuinely brings a smile to my face to receive such generosity. If you'd like to ask a question for my next Q&A here's your chance.

Bambi

I just saw the third act of Bambi randomly...which terrified me as a child far more than the death of the mother, for whatever reason. Haven't seen any of this film in over 25 years likely, but I'm realizing how much Fox and the Hound copied many elements of the big climax with the hunters.

Eyes Wide Shut and Tangerine. hahaha Was not unintentional, but a review will be coming for Tangerine.

The Sopranos

Many Saints of Newark will be coming out soon. So I will be shifting my focus to The Sopranos a bit in an upcoming video. What episode of the show do you find the most underrated?

Gabby Petito

Are ya'll following this stuff as closely as I am? Wild case man. Very wild. And get's weirder and weirder by the day. What is most interesting to me are their Instagram accounts. Social media tells you everything. Clearly those accounts are being used still every single day. Comments disabled, adding followers, etc.. But how? And where? I have this weird thing about cases where people disappear. But this one is one of the more strange ones I've seen in a while.

Norm MacDonald

I am heartbroken over this. I even had a weird feeling a week ago, so I watched his final standup routine that he did in the spring of 2020. Norm was the most brilliant man in the business. No one was funnier. No one. Please share your favorite Norm MacDonald appearances and bits and why you love them. </3

It finally Happened...Burnout ><

All those times I said I was gonna take a break but never really did I suppose were just trial runs. This week my body just said nope, you're done. Take a breather. So I apologize there's no topic video this week. I've been dealing with a lot in my personal life...and it's one of those things where I just needed a week to really reflect and deal with it. But no worries. I'll be back and full of energy hopefully soon. Hope you all are doing well. :)

Boy Meets World

I think it would be very hard to find someone who knows Boy Meets World trivia on my level.  Not proud of it, but it's more of a confession. haha There's an episode that involves a guest appearance by Fred Savage. Of course Ben Savage played Corey Matthews, the lead on Boy Meets World, and his brother Fred was also also a famous child actor of Wonder Years fame. Of all the guest appearances you could ask Fred Savage to do on Boy Meets World...they chose to have him play a young college p...

A Movie I Had Never Seen Until Yesterday

I admit I never saw Nicolas Refn's DRIVE (2011) for one very good reason: My younger brother was a huge fan of it when we were teens and naturally...I had to ignore it completely purely out of spite. You know...like big sister's do. He even has a replica version of the scorpion silk jacket. But I finally watched it last night. Have some initial reactions that have been marinating the last 24 hours. Surprisingly, I actually saw ONLY GOD FORGIVES (2013) a couple years ago. So...strange reversal...

FIGHT CLUB

Ya'll....I've dated a lot of men in my time. Thinking back on it....almost all of them were obsessed, or still obsessed with Fight Club and Tyler Durden. I guess I can understand when you're a teen or whatever. But why are so many grown men still so enamored with it? Beyond just the patriarchal commentary as it existed in the 90s.

THE GREEN KNIGHT

Saw it over the weekend with my best friend. We had a lot to discuss about it. There are certain things that perplexed us both about it. Perhaps I will get explain in the comment section. But initially, how are you guys feeling about it? I might review this one before Annette so...your thoughts are always welcome. Enjoy hearing what you guys have to say.

ANNETTE

I literally just finished watching Leos Carax's new film, Annette. I have a lot of feelings bouncing around after the initial viewing. And I'm slowly trying to bring them into focus. Has anyone seen it yet? Would love to hear your opinion. I'm personally quite torn on it, at the moment.

Today was a fail -_- (also...next topic question)

Sorry guys. The topic video I had initially planned to upload for you guys got messed up somehow in the recording. I lost 30 minutes of recording time to the evil digital realms. :( I will try my best to record later in the week and get it up by the weekend (no guarantees though).  I'll go ahead and give you guys another topic question in the meantime:

Let me know another hot take that's been bugging you.

Sneak Preview of New Things to Come

Hey guys! I'm working on finally updating my equipment to make the content a bit more professional. I'm not the most "in-touch" Youtube creator out there, but it's time to start improving the presentation. Just working out some technical kinks, but hopefully soon better light and better sound will be added! It should've happened a while ago. :D

De Palma vs. Hawks

I'm reviewing the Scarface remake as you might have guessed. By any chance, has anyone seen the original film by Howard Hawks? Part of me prefers aspects of the original more, actually. I wondered what your thoughts were, if you have any.

For Those Who Have Seen THE THIRD MAN

So unsurprisingly, that film will be my next review. I watched it with my friend the other day, who had never seen it. He liked it very much, however he found himself feeling disconnected from Joseph Cotton and Alida Valli's character dynamic. And he felt little tension there compared to say, the main relationship between Phyllis and Walter in DOUBLE INDEMNITY, which I also showed him previously. Of course I have my own opinions on The Third Man, but I wondered how you guys feel about it? Whe...

Trilogy

I've been on a Brian De Palma kick lately. I decided to work on a review for Blow Out, which I'm excited about. That film, and The Conversation, which coincidentally I rewatched a couple of weeks ago, are both heavily influenced by the film Blow Up, by Antonioni. Blow Up of course is one of my favorite films of all time. But that trilogy inspiration reminds me quite a bit of Persona, 3 Women, and Mulholland Drive. Have you seen all three films by De Palma, Coppola, and Antonioni? If so, which...
