When we didn't really get comments telling us what to put on a poll, Psu totally wanted to do another Maddy this time... but this is a lot of Maddys! And a Cupcake. So... success?

Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, this latest Cassiopeia Quinn update has determined how to look totally flippin' sick.
This should be ready to go tomorrow - thanks to Panel 3, it's the most complicated, hardest-to-do page we've had in months, maybe years. Uh... oops!

If they can get Motor Minx back in her original body, I'm kinda gonna miss this one. It really lends itself to some cool perspective stuff like in panel 4, proportion-wise.

This isn't gonna be a very wordy page. What it'll do - hopefully - is rely pretty heavily on composition to explain what's going on. Not to give it away, if you can't tell, but it's going to involve the first panel showing the two situations going on at the same time - fighting and also the chase Kitty is involved in. The perspective is a little skewed to make it all more visible.

Both of us are pretty down with the idea of equal rights for all kinds of people. You might notice that Dr. Botz's proportions look a little squished in the last panel. That's a side effect of the perspective that's being attempted... she may get changed before the page is published, if it reads too much like an error as the work progresses.

An unusual thing on this page is visible in panel four. The arrow there is Penny turning her head, but of course showing that requires motion lines or little extras like movement of the hair and body. But while the page is just being sketched out, the arrow you can see there indicating the motion serves as a placeholder.

Honestly, I never realized before having to write flashbacks that they do that kind of things in movies because it can be a lot of work portraying people looking different in two different scenes thanks to the passage of time...

It's not something you can tell at this stage, but the last two panels are actually flashbacks to the beginning of the story. We were thinking we'd make them sepia-toned or grayscale like Maddy's flashback during the fencing episode, even though it's a pretty recent time to recall. What do you think, does that seem right?
