TW: Sexual Assault

I just read SQUAD by Maggie Tokuda-Hall and Lisa Sterle and it really struck a chord with me. It's a graphic novel about 4 girls in highschool who are also werewolves! I don't want to spoil too much but suffice it to say that it asks some questions about whether it's OK to predate on predators, and how far is too far when it comes to vigilante justice.

One Day (Reprise)

I've always liked this comic. It's about trying to make sense of my time in Dundee, all the things that happened to me there and the abrupt and unpleasant circumstances under which my time there ended, and the complicated relationships I have with the people I met there.

Lilim

Beauty

I'm a big fan of upcycling old art, in case it isn't clear hehehe. This was a drawing of Kairi for a zine that I was a part of, but I ended up not liking the piece too much. I think partially it's because I'm not very good at colouring or drawing backgrounds but also her face/neck is totally broken in the original hahaha

Anyway, one thing I did like a lot about this piece is the line quality (the opposite to the last post lmao) and I always felt like it was a shame for it to hide away ...

Tar Teacup Redraw

You may remember this drawing of one of my OCs, Melody from last year. I always liked the drawing as a concept but I didn't like the actual drawing at all. The line quality bugged me for the longest time so I figured now would be a good time to redraw her!!

Three Days over Three Years PDF (41 pages)

I compiled my hourly comic day comics from 2019, 2020 and 2021 into one book! Wild to think I've been doing this for three years now oof... what is time.

It was really difficult to put these comics into a collection. I ended up leaving a lot of them out for various reasons; mostly older stuff where I didn't like the art anymore but also stuff where the tone wasn't really in line with what these comics have become.

Especially for the first couple of months, I was still finding my feet with this series and while I still like those older comics a lot, they didn't really gel with the collection as a whole.

Fire

I have so many dreams and things I want to do now... but I feel like all of them come at a cost. 

I've been thinking about this a lot as SENSORY has been wrapping down... It's the best and most ambitious thing I've ever done. I feel like it's done a lot of good for the people who read it, but it also completely consumed my life from March until now in a way that was completely unsuatainable....

Still, I wouldn't change anything. It's hard to talk about something being so exha...

Holy Moly, these pages were meant to be finished *three weeks ago* aaaaaaaaaa but they are finally done!!!! I'm really pleased with how they came out. I was trying some new things haha and I think it paid off.

Test Page (Commission)

This was a paid test page for a children's comic about a young girl who becomes disabled and struggles with the reality that she can no longer do the same things her friends can.

I'm not sure if I'll get the gig, but I feel like this project was made for me, haha. I became physically disabled at the tender age of 5 and had an identical experience of having to accept my limits. Also, the comic is set on a farm!! And I grew up on a farm! So I realllly hope I get the gig aa!

Horror Test Page + New Brushes!

New Comic: Boundaries

Woah I found this in my WIP folder from months ago and I'd completely forgotten about it haha;;;

Boundaries are *so* important to me now, as someone who previously didn't really have any lmao. I've gotten a lot better at politely saying no to people (my comics make me look more stern that I actually am LOL) but hoooo I still feel like such an asshole every time xD;;
