Project update: Ishikawa - The forbidden apartment

Everyone, I present you the project I've been working on since the first Neo Osaka project - Ishikawa - The forbidden apartment!

As mentioned before I based the idea/concept on the Kowloon Walled Building in Hong Kong. The Ishikawa is the Japanese version of it where the apartment is pretty much self sufficient like a city of its own.

Labor Day Update

Hope everyone is enjoying Labor Day (US and Canada)!

Since we have reached 60 patrons, I have included not only 2 but a couple wall pieces into the welcome pack. I thought we could benefit from a corner, 2/3 way pieces as well as a wall piece with the wall leaning on one side instead of in the middle and finally one more floor piece.

Neo Osaka Cop Car development update + opinions needed

Just wanted to give everyone some update on the next stretch goal for the kickstarter, which is a NOPD cop car. Some of you might know that I am not good at designing cars so it is taking me a long time to get it right. One thing that's troubling me the most is the proportion of the car which I am still trying to get better at.

Some updates from my kickstarter

Just wanted to share with you guys the 10th stretch goal I am working on for the kickstarter. This is a makeshift building from what used to be a public washroom. It has been turned into someone's hiding space. The ladies' door will be blocked off by a console (soon).

I've also shared the previous stretch goals as well. Obviously you will also get them in batches in either September or October. For August you will be getting the first two.

Few more bonus wall pieces added for everyone, its more meant to be used as background walls (only one side has the details), something quick to print and can be used quickly. 

I would like to know if one sided walls are useful to you guys because I find it much easier to design the exterior of buildings than furnishing the interior. And they can be used as backgrounds to "enrich" the environment so to speak. But let me know your thoughts!

Some more doodle + project idea

[UPDATED @ 2022 07 07] I think I got the stair pieces work the way I want, probably not perfect but its a good start. Also created some other skeleton wall pieces like inner wall pieces, 3 way etc so that its not always just the same old styles. I've done these kind of walls before but left them out most of the time for recently designs.

I love how the green / grey mix as main color has turned out. Hope you guys like it!

Note: the main stair piece is glued to the floor tile piece instead of opelock due to the design. The floor tile piece does connect to the wall door piece using openlock though.

Small fix for CapZZZule hotel (May release) + bonus

I was made aware one of the files from May release, particularly 2ndWallA wasn't printing too well because of all the overhang in the window area so I patched it up so the opening is now gone and should print better now.

Neo Osaka - 3D Printable Scifi Modular Terrains & Props launching July 5th 2022!

Just a heads up I will be launching Neo Osaka on July 5th but should not impact most of you as this is simply a bundle of Patreon releases from Feb until July (6 months). Although more will be included in the kickstarter with the most obvious being the stretch goals. It is also at a higher cost at $35 for early bird (almost 9 months of Patreon) and $40 for regular (10 months of Patreon).

June release - preview

Happy Sunday everyone and here is the preview of the June release. 

Included in this release are:

- my first take on roads

- currency exchange store

- currency exchange vending machine

- props for the currency exchange store

- 5x 40mm bases

- two subway entrances (wide and narrow)

Sharing more scatches

I am still trying to improve my hand drawing skills. It also helps me a lot with visualizing the designs in 2D before getting started on the actual 3D models.

Here we have an off-road vehicle follow by a smaller civilian car, a cop car and first half of a truck.

Printed the garage from April release

Thought I would share what I have printed so far for the past week and painted as well.  Hope you guys like it!

So from the April preview post, Luke suggested to create something Star Wars related for May 4th / kenobi series. Since I have a whole list of to-do for the cyberpunk/scifi theme I proposed that we can switch between that and the new Star Wars inspired theme. I mean its technically scifi anyway but will be different designs obviously.

Just wanted your feedback to see if we are good with having these two themes going in parallel. Or if you have any other suggestions please fee...

April release preview

Happy Monday! Just wanted to start the week with some April release renders. This time you will be getting a fully furnished garage with the hover car that was shown previously.

You will be getting a couple of consoles, cabinets, work bench, car parts, more neon signs and ventilation system etc.
