Now this was a fun commission to do; it was actually commissioned by my mother, who wanted me to do an invitation card for her sister, my aunt, who will be celebrating her 50th birthday soon. Looking through my gallery in search of what kind of theme she wanted for the card, she stopped at this older Inktober drawing from last year:

Commission for Arrol on dA and Tumblr, of his character Anore. This was a group shot, where Anore was supposed to face off against four large demon-beasts on her desolate home planet.
The process for this drawing was long, but of so rewarding. It has been a while since I've done a fully lined artwork, and I must say I am quite pleased with the result. I wanted the ambiance of the piece to reflect the toxic air of the planet, giving everything a green, toxic hue. I must say I don't work with th...

Here is a WIP of my next attempt at making more complex backgrounds. This is a very important place in my Bound Fates lore, and I will have more information to share when the piece is done.

Commission for CosmicPenguin on dA!
I have to say, this was the nicest commission to work on in quite a while, thank you again Cos for commissioning me to do this! I still need practice with painting ocean based scenery, but with some of my latest drawings being underwater themed I am slowly getting more familiar with it, and I was allowed to go all out with the colours in this one in particular.
There are two other commissions with the Kirby's Return to Dreamland quartet coming eventual...

But which one of them is the enemy?
This is a commissioned work featuring two of my characters, the main antagonists of my story of Bound Fates, Volcaniarousane and the Masked One, and my best friend's character, Blanche.
I was told to go wild with the galaxy background, so I did! It also allowed me a chance to fully work on my interpretation of these characters, and I will happily draw them again in the near future.
Hope you like it! A step by step of this piece will be coming sho...

A portrait of one of my favourite dragons from The Legend of Spyro series, Ignitus! I started this sketch a while ago and actually started colouring it in my first stream the other day. I was inspired, so I finished it quicker than I thought!
For this portrait, I wanted it to be reminiscent of (spoilers ahead) Ignitus' fate in the third game, when he sacrifices himself to let Spyro and Cynder pass through the barrier of fire. At the end, he ends up becoming the next Chronicler, which was a nic...

Somewhere in the vast Universe, tucked between two spiralling galaxies and endless clouds of dancing, colourful matter, was the Gamble Galaxy. The stories tell that it was in this very galaxy that, two decades ago, a young Star Warrior appeared as if out of nowhere, and faced off against the Emperor of Dreams himself, Nightmare. With the stars’ light in his hands, the young one brought an end to the Dream Wars, a battle that had taken everything to wage. And now, without the fea...

Subtletly, Meta Knight, learn it.
I made this comic not only as practice for black and white style comics, but also as a response to all the people online crying out whenever I post a drawing of a Kiridan with hands. Honestly, it's quite hilarious, so this comic is my only reply to that. xD
Personally I'm actually pretty happy how it came out! It's easier to make them quicker in black and white as I don't have to worry about the colour scheme, and it still gives out the message, so I mig...

This is a speedpaint I did for a friend a while ago, I realized I never showed it anywhere else, so here it is.
This is one of my oldest and dearest characters, Volcaniarousane, also known as the Lonely One in my stories. This is how he looked when he was still considered a God and a Shadow by those he created, before he fell and lost his immortality. Now he is very different from those glorious days...
I am planning on making bigger paintings of the three Shadow siblings later, so I wil...

Now this is something I've had in mind for quite a while, and you dear patrons are the first ones to know.
I am thinking about making a comic out of my story A New Age. Don't worry, it won't stop me from writing the rest of Act 2! Quite the opposite, really, as I am not stopping that story for anything else.
I started working on the first chapter of this possible conversion, so be on the look-out for possible drafts and sketches of the pages in the near future!

This is the cover page of the next issue of the Kirby Amino Times, which I was kindly asked to do. Since I was planning on making this drawing anyway, I accepted, so here it is! This is the version without the Kirby Amino Times logo, the version that will be posted on the Amino will have the logo on it.
This was a very quick speedpaint in which I wanted a more yellow-tone in the vegetation, somewhat like how the light outside is right now, since fall is coming closer. The light is changing, an...

The Ruk't(s) are a species distantly connected to the Ikrouks; they are to the Ikrouks what monkeys and apes are to humans, connected but far from the same. They share a common ancestor from long, long ago from the beginnings of times on Etaliari, and that connection has made them very dependant on one another for survival. Ikrouks have mounted and trained Ruk'ts for ages, making them a very important part of their daily lives. Each Ikrouk is given an egg at a young age, and the Ruk't that comes...

I decided that instead of making normal text posts with pictures that no one can see apparently because Patreon is like that, I'd make mini montages of my current works-in-progress instead, so here is what I'm working on at the moment.
In the upper left corner, you can see the way I do my thumbnails. Basically, whenever I have an idea that I want to put down quickly so I don't forget it, I quickly whip this up and do a tiny grayscale thumbnail. It also allows me to practice composition without...

I'm trying to work a lot more on my backgrounds lately, and the best way to get better at them is to draw them directly as is. I was listening to the album () by Sigür Ros (might have spelled that wrong) while painting this, it was quite a nice experience. Expect to see more of these coming soon!
I did a forest background first because that's what I'm used to the most until now, I'll go on and do more complex and unfamiliar backgrounds soon.

This is the final contribution to my Alone series, a full, long comic that explains how Kirby finally found his way.
In my personal headcannon for the Kiridans, Kirby's species, I say that they can live for almost an eternity. In fact, they live for so long, that sometimes they stop 'living' and they content themselves in just 'being'. Sometimes, they get so lost and away from life that they are never seen again, and they just fade away into non-existence...
Glad that didn't hap...

I wanted to practice more on landscapes and scenery, while also making something about Spyro, so I went and repainted the river scene at the beginning of The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning.
This game was the first Spyro game I ever played, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. The soundtrack is so good too! I enjoyed working on this, it was very different from what I usually do.
Hope you like it!

This is the last portrait I finished, it's more like a bust since I stopped right above the legs, but that's a technicality.
Silver has got to be my all-time favourite Sonic character, so I had to eventually make a drawing out of him. He may appear in what is considered one of the worst Sonic game ever (even though it was the first one I ever played and I still like it), he was one of the best characters to come out of that, hands down. I'm glad he's coming back in Sonic Forces! Can' wait to g...

This is a concept of sort for some type of dragon spirit; if an Ikrouk were to be inhabited by the spirit of a dragon, what would it look like?
I will most likely continue to work with that idea for my stories.

And finally, we have the final piece of the Galactic Trio, Kirby himself! The first iteration of this drawing in particular was empty and flat, I am much more satisfied with the colours I used in this new one. It's so much more vibrant! Even Kirby's pose is better.
Overall, I am very happy with how each of these three drawings came out, it shows how much I have grown as an artist, and I hope to continue growing in this fashion in the near future.

Another remake of an old piece, this time the one featuring Meta Knight. The old one was the first of the three that I made and this one was the first that I remade, and I have to say the difference is quite striking.
You can see that I changed the design a bit, especially the wings and the fact that I didn't use his metal gloves. I made his wings more bat like, with long thumbs instead of just claws. I prefer it much more that way!
Hope you like it!

This is a remake of an older piece done in 2015, I was once very proud of that first piece but I felt it desperately needed a revamp. There are two other similar pieces, one featuring Meta Knight and another featuring Kirby. I will be posting the other two soon!
I have to say I am rather proud of those remakes! They look so much better than those old drawings. You can see that I learned a lot about drawing wings and proper proportions, as well as lighting and colours when it comes to the compo...

This is a portrait of one of my favourite Capcom characters, Nero, from Devil May Cry 4, possibly the best game in the series for me.
This character just has something about him that I really like, I was really moved by his voice actor's performance (Johnny Yong Bosch, who also voiced Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach, an amazing voice actor).
This is taken directly from a particular scene in the game (spoilers ahead) where Kyrie is taken away just as he tried to get her back. That scene had m...

First exclusive painting! I finished this one yesterday, this was a small practice for something a little bit different, I quite like the result.
Lyra is quite happy to be down on Etaliari and not on her home world of Arkuzia, the large moon orbiting the planet. Up there, it's winter for most of the year and the land is almost always covered in night, so the difference with the Iznugian Isles where it's summer for a long part of the year is quite striking. Lyra's not complaining though; she pr...

This is a speedpaint of an Izn'ck Ikrouk I did a while back. I wanted to experiment with a somewhat different style of speedpainting and I have to say, I quite like it!
Izn'ck Ikrouks (pronounced ee-z-nook ee-krook) are the Ikrouk species native to the Isles of Iznugia. They are known for their very dark plumage and robe and their amazing hunting skills.
Since I just launched this page yesterday, this is going up at the same time as the rest of the Internet, but as I go on I will settle ...
