Piano étude BTS movie

Or perhaps a more proper title would be "arse play" in British English (Patreon doesn't allow you to use the US spelling without the R & E with an extra S ). You'll know what I mean when you watch the movie.

Piano Étude

I love working with Georgia Brown; it was at the Kiln studio in Stoke-On-Trent this time.
She is gorgeous looking, the most lovely person, has no inhibitions - at least none I have discovered, and is a veritable posing machine who genuinely cares that photographers get the best possible images.

What more could you want in a model?

The light in this studio is a bit complicated:
It’s natural light from both sides of the room and requires some v-flats to control it (which th...

Torre Del Veger

Rebecca Perry one early morning at Torre Del Veger.
It’s diffused light; a light cloud is passing in front of the early morning sun.

They’ve since repaired the railing, so it’s modern and steel.

In my opinion, it has lost a bit of its original appeal.

Memento Mori (remember you will die)

I like to challenge myself.

One challenge I take on now and then is to play with exposure time and see what I can achieve.
In this case, the movement adds a lot to the general feel and scene.
Had these been in clear focus, they would be completely different (and a lot less interesting) I think.

I also like the mixing of something super erotic/explicit and then creating movement, so it isn’t really - but you still feel it is.

PS.

Claras’ latticework

In May, I met up with some old friends in Kanab (Kaela and Ingrid) and met some new ones (Clear Rene, Vivian Cove, and Goblin Goddess), and we did a couple of days of adventure before they got too busy.

All my research from when shooting Venus On Mars came in very handy despite Ingrid being a Guide.

You would not believe how windy this place was, especially for the first image with Clara.

Perhaps this selfie gives an idea about the conditions we sometimes work in. High wind ...

Claras latticework BTS

This is not a bts from the shoot, but one getting there, so you get an idea about the environment.
I think it's fun to show a bit about what's going on. Notice the warm coats and hoodies. It was windy AF.
Open for all tiers unlike the real BTS videos.

Helena on steroids

Last autumn, I shot Dulce Mara near the studio. We only had a few hours but pulled off five great images. This one is natural light as a cool structure near my studio.

She does have an amazing body.

Fun fact as some people have asked:
She is not malnourished; She works as a Chef, understands how food works, and does a lot of exercise.

The idea of surrender

I did a small, intimate workshop with Wiana and The Endless Sinner last month.
I used this as one of the shots to illustrate how my images progress from the vaguest idea into a strong image and how I collaborate with the models to give their all.

This is diffused daylight from my studio windows on a slightly rainy day.

If you are on the photographers and vault tier, check out the edit video.

Proper guidance

Nausicaa Yami is in a quarry in Lanzarote, where the light is amazing.

This is simply an open sky, with no sunlight, but sheltered by various walls.

And things like these are why I like to do location workshops:
Until you have an intimate understanding of light, having someone show you how many opportunities a place holds and why they work is a fantastic feeling.

Check out my autumn Lan...

Georgia does statues

Georgia showing off during my Spring workshop at Basford Hurst cottage in the UK in March.
This is direct sunlight, and Georgia has a light oil coating on her body. I chose to process the images to have marble-like skin. I frequently go the other way and opt for darker skin, but light felt suitable for these.

Hint: In Lightroom, it’s the interplay between exposure, white highlight, and shadow that defines the look of the skin

Sunstruck

I love working with dancers and very flexible people like Lena Dancer.
And I do have an affinity for hard light.
The scene can become more mystic, and you can make super revealing poses but hide the “delicate bits” in the deep shadows.

I don’t know about you, but it makes me look harder if I can almost see something in the shadows.

Do you feel the same way?

The light here is direct sunlight through my studio windows.

Sign of the nine

I’m particularly proud of this image.
It strikes the perfect balance for me:

It is exquisitely aesthetic, weird, engaging, and surely controversial for some delicate eyes.

Let me know whatever comes to mind when you see this.
It’s lit on a massive seamless background with three massive 7’ umbrellas and a couple of v-flats on the right side to preserve shadows for the models closest to the white background.

I know this is unfair - but if you have really...

And since these are playful and not nude (it is but outside of the frame), I can make this a public post and give you a rundown of what’s in store:

Yesterday a rather large series with CB Modeling from Kullaberg in Sweden was featured.

And tomorrow, I'll show you one of the images I’m most pappy of having created this year, featuring nine beautiful butts.

Cassie gone wild

As you may know, I’m offering two unique autumn workshops in Lanzarote (a small volcanic Spanish Island) in September and October.

These workshops will feature The Endless Sinner, Wiana Model, and CB Modeling. However, I've only shot in the studio with CB until now that is.

To compensate for the lack of location images, I persuaded her to go to my favorite rocky hangout in Sweden for ...

Rose of the midlands

I booked Ayla Rose for a workshop in ’19, and we also shot some stuff one-on-one.
I have published one or two of these before, but I’m hoping you don’t mind the recap and seeing the unpublished ones.

The first six images are shot in the same spot, using varying degrees of sunlight streaming through the studio window. A string curtain casts shadows on the model, creating the stripes.

The last image is a 57” Zeppelin.
Again, used with care, even though it’s ...

Annika, in a blast from the past.

For some reason, I have never posted these before (If I have, at least I have not tagged them correctly).

I haven’t worked with Annika since the pandemic. I think it’s time again soon.

The first is a 53” white reflective Westcott Apollo deep umbrella, and the last is daylight through a window in an old studio.

Dang, I miss that window…

And there is a bit of Bonus Material on Discord for all Tiers

Gymnastic tendencies

Gracie Sweet and a box:

Gracie hated to do images that appeared revealing without showing anything and asked if I could do it.

Yes, Indeed I can, Mam.

Which of these is most enticing, and what makes it your favorite?

The light is a 57” Zeppelin with a soft grid and many black flags to avoid unwanted reflections from the walls and ceiling.

Who can resist Fatima?

I don’t think I have ever worked with a model who can appear to be as much of a tease as Fatima Kojima.

I mean, look at this image:

There is so much potential in what’s about to happen.

So much loving to tease you (or me - who knows).

Lingerie Blues

When shooting with Isi Luxova a few months ago, she asked me to shoot some lingerie images, and I agreed.

I used to shoot lingerie when I did advertising, and consequently declined shooting any kind of underwear the first 5-6 years after starting to shoot nudes.

Having done it professionally, I’ve made all the possible "mistakes," and I have to work hard to "unlearn" them again.

Mynte lost in a moment.

I don’t know what it is, but I find Mynte very enticing to work with.
She has a girlish charm, is a declared exhibitionist, and is very as both playful and sensual.

And that often comes across in the images we create together.

This is a good example.

It was lit with a Westcott 57” Zeppelin and uses a black flag on the shadow side to increase contrast.

Shruti Booty

I do have an affinity for darker-skinned models.

Light reacts differently with darker skin, creating a different dispersion of the highlights that makes the body appear more round.

I had Shruti apply some (massage) oil to amplify the reflections and, by extension, make the shadows deeper.

Reflective “objects” always have a larger apparent contrast, which is why oil helps.

Following yesterday's post, oil makes the highlights reflect more light (A mirror reflec...
