MTWY [Book 1: Chapter 11 bugfix]

Bugfix version, this should be the final version for book 1 until the game is finished unless there's a game-breaking bug somewhere, there isn't.

Summary:
-Optimized file size, we managed to cut down the game's size by half without affecting the quality of the visuals.

-Punctuation, grammatical and minor errors fixed.

-Fixed the infinite loop for ch1, for those stuck in the infinite loop in ch1, please make a new save(only them).

This is pretty much a copy-paste of what's been said in the exclusive release.

Chapter 11 is supposedly on book 2, yes, that's what was supposed to happen but there's been an issue with the coding that led chapter 11 to be placed in book 1....

But you said chapter 11 is on book 2, yes, we did but there's been an issue with the coding that led chapter 11 to be placed in book 1.  "No spoilers of course" but the end of chapter 11 significantly represents the change of theme better than chapter 10 would. To add, chapter 11 being-story heavy is actually a good fit, IMO in book 1. I'd actually like to make a poll about this later...

Kanehana's Hair Makeover! Or Not!

Here's our first poll in a while so I'll let all patron tiers take a swing at it.

I can't think of much to say since my mind has been drained from focusing on the game's development so without further ado, here are the wallpapers I missed, all in 4k resolution! I'm going to need time to catch up on the holiday-themed ones.

My Time with You - Book 1 Release

This is not an April fool's joke. Probably even a little late for that but going with technicality is April 1 for me.

Kindly use new saves, old saves will cause errors and inconsistencies due to changes in the code that will carry over to book 2 meaning you have to start from the beginning with a fresh save file. Basically, you can't play book 2 if you don't clear book 1 so I'm taking down the chapter 10 exclusive release links after this post.

   In case anyone was wondering, the public release will coincide with book 1's release at the end of the month; it didn't make much sense to separate the two.  We've been going at it full throttle and it's proceeding wonderfully and as planned, although I get the feeling EO still wants to speed things up even more.

As told, it continues where the present time left off. The story got interrupted by Hikari's arrival which will start tying everyone up together to the plot. 

As stated during the exclusive release that is unbeknownst to public supporters; this chapter exceeds all the previous chapters in both difficulty and length in making. Making it my favorite chapter thus far, or maybe eight.

We're having issues with chapter 9's music right now, so it's not yet available. So, if it's important to you, please wait 3 days, especially for Kanehana's story.

So, this is the longest and most difficult chapter to make up to date in terms of everything, but I believe the coming chapters will be shorter. Who can say? The chapters are well-separated, but I keep adding a few things/scenes to each one as I make it. :)

Probably not the announcement everyone is expecting today, but it is what it is.

No, we're not dead.  We merely need to alter the two-week release intervals and complete the MTWY roadmap timetable.

The plot already asks for numerous characters to interact with one another, as well as the scope of each scene becoming exceedingly vast.

At least the ones above are set in stone already, my goal for chapter 10 is to be released a day after Valentine's day but we'll see. It would be crunch time.

So... I know a lot of you have been anxious and perhaps mad waiting for the new chapter and understandably

July 12 - Started a company with my long-time friend. He's overseas so a lot of my time got taken up to ensure everything will run smoothly.

Real soon, and both chapters are really wild

Integrating all the chars and giving balance into the next couple of chapters without leaving anyone over has been quite fun and challenging to say. Watch out for the introduction(maybe) and re-introduction of characters. One of which will definitely come as a BIGGGGGG surprise.

Polishing and editing

It feels like it's lacking something, I don't want to release it until I'm sure it's 100% complete. Both chapter should be up in 3-5 days. With all the time used, it feels wrong to release the chapter while I feel it's still incomplete.
Chapter 7, however fun that was, had quite a number of edits post-release and we're trying to avoid that. Replaying a whole chapter because it was re-edited is a waste of time. Avoiding that from happening again.
So I'm asking for just a little more tim...

I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses, but I did relapse a bit due to fatigue.
It should be done soon though. Just need to pace myself. Chapter 8 and 9(Sept. 9) will be up in 7 days or less.
I'll give the full explanation and progress report then.

Quick update

Chapter 8 and 9 will be released together either on Aug. 31 or Sept. 1 of 2021.

Fully recovered and proceeding as planned. 

We decided to release both chapters together this time.

We will follow up on the wallpapers for July and August right after.

August Releases Update

Posted a week ago on discord about my health issues(excuse me for not posting here as well) that caused the delay in the development of MTWY. I'm pleased to say that I'm feeling great, still no sense of taste which sucks but not feeling any other illness at all. Covid test tmr tho, we'll know if that's what we caught but either way, "Fully Recovered!" (Means I can work on the game without any issues at all)


Only half a month left in August but I'm confident we'll be able to release...
