Who knew this?

I found a cool new animal!

This is a real predator! However it is much smaller than you would expect. This is about half the size of a fruit fly.  

Should I put this in my big terrarium? Chances are pretty high I will never see it again but it would fit great in there. 

Bob was hungry after molting..

She got a little bigger and was ready for a change of prey! Sorry for the bad image, the terrarium has some stains from spraying water. I think another molt or two and she will be ready for a bigger terrarium. 

Update on Bob the female jumping spider

You probably can't see it because she has built a pretty dense nest but Bob has finaly moulted. She hasn't left the nest yet so hard to see how much bigger she got.

It was a real struggle to get him to eat but you will see that in full video when it is online

Working hard on a new video!

Filmed something cool

I was able to film something pretty cool today! Probably doesn't look like much but getting this footage took A LOT of time and swearing 😂Animals do not work with you when it comes to filming. Anyone want to guess what I got here? 

This is raw footage so it might be a little shaky/blurry. 

New ant colony

The new ant colony has arrived and they are already hard at work!

Future video

Since it seems that a lot of people like ants, I ordered another colony. This time it is a Messor barbarus colony. These are harvester ants that also have soldiers so they should be interesting! I'll keep you posted when they arrive.

I hope you guys are looking forward for the content!  

The ants inside the tube.

I looked into the tube of the ants for the first time in about 2-3months and as you can see, the colony has definitely grown.

Sneak peek

Since the ants are still in the tube and didn't seem to want to move into the nest area in the back of the terrarium, I decided to give them some more substrate in the front. I hope they are going to make their new nest in there. I'll keep you posted!

Preview

I just made this so it is still a bit cloudy from the sand but I wanted you guys to get a preview. I have something special to go in this tank. They hould hatch tomorrow (hopefully).

 Should I tell you what is going to live in here or do you want to be surprised in the video? 

This video won't be the next one (I think) since the animals that go in here still have to hatch and then grow a bit. 

Update on biggest terrarium

I have been away for almost a month and in that time my biggest terrarium definitely got some growth!

I'm back home from vacation! I was able to get some footage in the Mexican jungle. Not as much as I had hoped but I think it is enough for a short 3-4 min video. I was on a plane for about 12 hours so I will rest today and get to editing tomorrow! I'm hoping to get the new video out by sunday. 

Above is a concept for the thumbnail I put together.

More updates

I hope I can make this video work.. I have been eaten alive by mosquitoes, almost got bitten by a snake (was not able to film it unfortunatly) and was sweating my b**** off to get a few shots in the jungle. Above an example. Can you guess what animals these are?

Hi everyone,

Currently I'm in Mexico on vacation. Unfortunatly that means you will have to wait a little longer for a new video. However, since I'm spending a few days in the Mexican jungle I might be able to get some footage in line of : " I lifted 10 rocks in the Mexican jungle and found this". I would show which spiders, snakes, creepy crawlies.... I find and make a video about that. I'm not sure I will be able to film something like that but I definitely want to try. What do you guy...
