This is my longest video yet so I hope you like it!

We got some babies!

Very exciting news! I didn't expect it but we got some baby spiky Bobs! At first I wasn't sure but they are a lot smaller than the ones I bought. These are not easy to breed so I guess I'm doing something right with this natural setup!

So far I saw 2. I'll keep you posted.

I really attract ants...

Some of you might know I have a ''free range'' ant colony of acorn ants in one of my terrariums. Well apparently my new terrarium (the one from the documentary) also has an acorn ant colony. I don't know if the queen is in there too. There are a decent amount of ants in there that go in and out of the wood. They even explore out of the terrarium sometimes.

It is voice over time again

I just spend about 5 hourse recording the most stupid jokes..
I'm hoping to get the video ready on monday for the paying patrons and on friday for youtube !

Patreon progress update

I'm currently earning 488 euro per month from patreon (before taxes). That is a CRAZY amount and has allowed me to buy a better camera (you might have seen it in recent videos). I gave my new ant colony a Mosquito

Mosquitoes are about the only animals I don't feel sorry for. The ants were interested at first and started biting it, but they didn't end up eating it .

Next video is going to be on these guys. The eggs are starting the hatch. So far 6 of the 10 I kept hatched but unfortunately so far only 1,5 baby survived. The 0,5 is one that is currently alive but I don't think he is going te make it. I don't now if it is an unusually high number that didn't make it but I know it is normal not all of them do. These stick insect just produce a very large number of eggs so that at least some of them make it.

I saw 4 without looking too hard. That means that most of them if not all 10 are probably doing fine! The one in the background of the first picture is the one that molted I'm guessing because he is bigger. Couldn't get better pictures without disturbing them too much.

The spiky Bobs are doing better than expected. These are pretty hard to keep but so far they seem to be doing fine. I even found a molt (second picture). That means they are growing.

I'll try to get a video/picture of them tomorrow.

I need your help!

I'm having trouble getting the thumbnail for my new video right (available for paid patrons already). These are 3 options ( all of them still need some work).

Which do you think is best and why?

Important: youtube is weird and it is not always the ''prettiest'' thumbnail that works best. It is the one that makes you most curious that works best.

I Filmed a Nature Documentary Inside My House

Early access to full video. This one was a lot of work but fun to make. I had to watch some nature documentaries to do some research which I haven't been able to do in a long time because I don't have the time anymore.

I'm adding some music now and doing some other small things. However I went to a wedding of a friend yesterday and I might or might not have a slight hangover soo things take longer than expected.

The amount of workers has grown a whopping 50% (from 2 to 3) ...

Not the best but also not the worst terrarium ever.

I tried to make it as natural as possible

So I went "shopping" in the forest.

I went to get some supplies to make a new big natural terrarium. Sidenote: if you are going to get stuff from nature make sure you don't take endangered plants/animals and don't take to much from one spot. Just a little bit from a lot of spots.

I'm planning a big video not just another "I built a terrarium". What I'm planning is pretty original imo (but I might be biased). I hope I will be able to pull it of because it is going to be a lot of work 😅I'm probably going to regret it b...

Update on the new ant colony.

The water in their tube was running out so I connected their tube and a new tube to a mini outward. That way the can move everything into the new tube. They already moved the eggs and larvae into the outworld so new they just need to get into the new tube.

The patreon exclusive Bobs like to hide in the cave.

I don't see them that often but from time to time I see them wandering around the cave.

This is my longest video yet and I think also the longest I spend on a video. It was A LOT of work so hope it is ''average''.

New ant colony...

I guess I attract ants... so I ordered the spiky bobs with a company called " ant invasion". They knew about my channel and decided to put an extra ant colony in the order. I didn't know about this and didn't ask for it. But here I am with my 4th colony (5th if you count the acorn ants in the big terrarium).

Now 4 colonies is too much so I'm afraid I will have to end these...

Jk, I already ordered for over €100 worth of supplies for them.

My next video is going to be my longest ever!

It is going to be around 16minutes so it will take a looong time to do the voice over..

The editing part itself is almost done.

I basically spend all the money from patreon from the last two months on the new Bobs and their homes for next video😅. In my defense it were very cool (but very expensive) ones.

But since our Bobmunity is growing I might be able to buy Bobs like that more often. There are a lot more I got my eye on.

Update on my previous post

So after I got of the phone with the previous seller and after being angry and feeling sorry for my self I went to look online if there were maybe other sellers for the ''white skull'' isopods. I found none. But than I found a Polish shop that sells these ''Durian Spiky isopods''. Since these have about the same requirements as the others and they also look very cool I decided to try my luck on that site and buy them. Because they are so similar I can use the terrarium and also the part of th...

Bad news

So I ordered some of those spiky isopods last week (tuesday). As it took pretty long to recieve a conformation that they were shipped I send them an email asking why it took so long. Yesterday they answered me they didn't have them anymore (while I was able to order them and I payed for them). I asked them if they still had the other species of spiky isopods they could send me instead but they didn't answer me. Today I called them. They don't have those either (they are still op for sale on t...
