The sense of motion in the fabric sparks SO much joy for me in this shot!  

Polaroid-a-Day, March 20th.

This might be the first truly indoor shot of the project.  Sometimes, I love taking photos in morning in my hallway where the light floods in through this glass block window that's set into the wall.  I wasn't sure if there would be enough light, as it was very soft at this point in the late morning.  

I love how it turned out, half the frame behind me in shadow, and the other half all lit up.

I shot these photos last May and loved the smooth working system this photographer had!   From set, to lighting, to the review process during the shoot, right down to each accessory.... I did not want to stop eating the bread and cheese after we were done.. 🤤

Polaroid-a-Day, March 18th.

Before it snowed in Santa Fe.  I love this white lace piece and plan on doing a series in it.  I also have a black version and a blue version... maybe I should incorporate all 3?

Polaroid-a-Day, March 17th + 4 Bonus Photos!

I've included several extra photos in today's post because a few of them didn't quite make the cut to be the "photo of the day."  These were some of the first shots taken of this project, before I learned to protect the film from the light as it leaves the camera after the shutter is pressed.   I still loved these, even though they weren't "perfect. "

Another snowy Santa Fe pic in which any surrounding neighbors definitely saw the making of this art.  No neighbors were harmed in the making of this photo 😋

Polaroid-a-Day, March 15th.

The film got a little messed up in the cold, but I love how it caught the falling snow.  There were neighbor windows all around, and I was cold, but I didn't care.  This shot felt absolutely exhilarating!   In fact, I have an entire nude snow photo set coming later this month, taken on my digital camera!  I'm a warm-weather woman but I'll get cold for the art!

Polaroid-a-Day, March 14th.

I was sitting like this naturally, just sipping my morning tea in Santa Fe, when my Polaroid project partner noticed me and said, "don't move, let me take a Polaroid of this!"  

There wasn't a ton of light in this room, but was enough to bring out this gorgeous shape of my legs with just enough to spare across my face, as well.

I love the sense of motion in this photo, even though I am still.

I wanted to juxtapose my favorite print (floral) with an industrial-looking background to tell a story in textures.  I just adore the exquisite shadow the robe creates from my breast to my pelvis.  Also, those are cat scratches on my left breast 😿🤣

I think this may be my favorite photo so far of this project!  The black and white is just sooo rich and delicious in this photo!

I'm learning the bass and wanted to take a portrait with my gorgeous acoustic Taylor bass.  The black and white photo was taken initially, and since it was the last of that roll, I decided to recreate it in color during the same moment.

I got all oiled up for this one!

As an artist and photographer, I am fascinated and enthralled by light and shadow.  In this photo, I'm obsessing over the arrangement of light and shadow beneath my left breast (on the right side of the frame).   This sparks so much joy, thank you breasts and sun for working together so collaboratively!   And thank YOU for supporting my work!  You make this project possible (film is so dang expensive 😅)

Polaroid-a-Day, March 7th.

I love how this one came out (accidentally) implied, even though I am fully exposed.  Working with lace in the sun was really fun, and a classic concept I want to continue to explore.  

How are you liking the Polaroid-a-Day project so far?  I've already taken so many Polaroids, that I'm all ready to fill up April and May with nude film art, too!

I also just got home from a road trip to Santa Fe, and created some lovely photo sets on the drive back across the desert!...

I'm excited to share this project and get creative with my film in my backyard and on my travels, bringing you a photo journal of my life through film.  Each photo may tell you a story, and they may create a story all together.    Interpret as you like, and enjoy a Polaroid a day all month long to bring in the spring season!

Nude Polaroid Inspiration!

I have been loving shooting a polaroid or 2 everyday after my livestreams.  It helps me feel connected to myself, inspired by my body, and in awe of my own creational power.  Snapping Polaroids in the yard has inspired me to post a "Polaroid a Day" in March!  I thought it would be a fun way to express myself, and a great way to compile beautiful shots for my little art books I plan to print.
