This week, the official private release of my thrud model is scheduled for Monday through Wednesday.
I can say with certainty this is definitely my most complex model by far.
As a result, I had to create a "How to Use" video in conjunction with some other guides.
Initially, I will release the female version to ensure everything is in order, then I will release the FUTA version, and then I can begin rendering.
Regardless, I am eager to have you guys test this character ...

Here's a quick showcase of the UI and other things I've been working on.
Put aside dirt, blood, and sweat for now.
I'm figuring out a way to dynamically paint blood, dirt, or sweat anywhere on the model.

So, this is definitely the most complex node group I've ever made for any character. However, it taught me so much about organization.
It's still incomplete but it should be done by tomorrow and then I can add the finishing touches on the character and the interface.
After that I need to work on the documentation and then that should be it.

The only thing I want to say about this for now is that my future models will include a pose library available only to patreon donors.
Hopefully, this will speed up your workflow.

So, I've finally got my own custom UI up and running.
There are still some panels to add so it isn't complete yet but it's definitely getting somewhere.
All in all, learning Python this last week has definitely been a challenge but I got significant help from an invaluable friend.

Another aspect I am paying attention to with my Thrud model is the Cycles shader.
I've been seeing a lot of people do renders with my models using Cycles and the results aren't optimal on my part.
Many materials are optimized for Eevee but once you switch the engine to Cycles a lot of the materials are way too glossy resulting in a shiny look.
I'm pretty sure you've either seen this or experienced this firsthand if you've used my models in Cycles.

It's been about 2 days since I released the test model.
I've received some nice feedback on what you guys like and don't like.
It seems to have been a good idea to use the riggify rig. Many of you like the easy to use rig UI in the "N" panel and the FK-IK snap buttons.
Because of this I've also been learning a little Python on the side. Nothing too complex, just enough for me to be able to edit scripts and get a more customized result.

Okay, watching 10+ hours of Zbrush content and videos last month paid off.
I'm finally learning how to use the program in a efficient way.
My goal is to cultivate the skill of creating skin textures as much as possible to create high quality models in the future.
I'm currently experimenting a lot through YouTube videos and trial and error, but that's by far the best way to learn.

In this model, riggify is used as the main rig, so it's more organized and easier to use. I've posted some pictures to help you navigate, but they're probably not that helpful. Just didn't want to spend a lot of time creating a video on how to use it, then having to change it later.

Around 20 hours of work time on this one render. I changed the lighting setup around 4 times, had to redecimate geometry multiple times, didn't know wether I wanted the dog and V in the render or just judy.
So all in all, I definitely wasted quite a lot of time on this render. This one isn't going to be animated simply because it would take an extreme amount of time to render.
