The Danube hates me

For the last few days I have tried filming footage of the Danube. But every single time I arrive, it starts raining, or something else screws it all up. Literally the only thing left in my next video, are a few second long clips of the Danube... that river seems to really not like me, lol.

Question regarding content and discord invite

I have been trying to focus my channel more on content revolving around European topics. And future projects that you voted on reflect that. About the upcoming video

There is something I need to tell you about the next video. It's title is "The Myth of Racial Development". To summarise it basically is a short video explaining why "racial theories of political development" are bullshit. I am basically "debunking" the idea that some societies prosper because their people are a "superior race" and that others decline because they are an "inferior race". Content Update!

I have to pospone the publication of the series about Dutch history until December, or possibly Jannuary. We are already working on the project, but I have allowed things to get a little out of hand and grow in size again. The first video of this series was meant to cover an introduction to the geographic outline, medieval free cities,  80-years-war, as well as the entire Dutch golden age and the beginnings of the Dutch trade Empire. Writing and working on the Dutch history series there is a problem I encountered. Dutch Imperialism. Dutch Imperialism matters. The Dutch Empire matters. It had enormous impact on the Dutch political and economic system. BUT it had far greater consequences in its colonies. Especially in East Asia.

I want to make long videos again

For more than a year I have now mainly made short videos that are between 20-40 minutes long. There will be a video up next month that will be my shortest yet, about the Saudi economy, which may only be 10 minutes long.

A little request

As some of you noticed, I have made a lot of videos titled "The Origins of ..." or "How X invented ..." That is intentional. I want to make an entire catalogue of videos that explain how certain political insitutions and structures were developed and came to be. So far I have made "The Origins of Russian Authoritarianism" "China vs India the State and the Society" "How Denmark invented Social Democracy" and "The Origins of the Greek Debt Crisis". I am very grateful for your concerns over my decisions to work a lot more this month and try to push out more than just one video.

But please understandf that I am not just doing this out of a sense of masochis, or my regrets and as an apology to you for slacking in the past 2-3 months. I also want to do this as a challenge to myself. I will do my utmost to ensure that the quality will not suffer. And hope to have a video ready for you by the end of the weekend.
