There's no particular significance to Sister Turner's illegitimate child... I just needed to make up some appropriately oldtimey reason to explain why Sister Turner is in the convent. I mean... racism is still the motivation for a lot of shitty stuff in the world, but it's a lot less culturally acceptable than it was in the 1920's. I guess it's comforting to know that, no matter how shitty things get now, I sure as Hell wouldn't trade it for how things were a century ago.

Anyway, tomorrow's my birthday! I'm going to be taking the day off and just relax. I can't really afford to do anything more elaborate than that, but it will be nice to have some time off that doesn't include a huge road trip or spending time with stress-inducing family members.
