Christmas For The Fam 2022

My family's Christmas gifts are complete, ahead of schedule!  Featuring my mom's chihuahua Rosie, my brother's pit Ezzie, my dad's Aussie shepherd Bear and my sister's Polish chickens.

We don't need to discuss which football teams are good and which are not, because they're literally all the same to me.

As much as these two like to play rough (as per Liv's own demands), you'll be pleased to know that Yunan does in fact know how to respectfully treat an elegant lady.

I find this one especially pretty and I'm a bit irked I can't post it on DA.  But society has rules I guess.

Hellbender Baby

The meager fact that Alena might outweigh her is not going to keep Olivia from her precious mother-daughter time.  Mummy is an elegant lady, but she's far from weak!

According to my and Asuraludu's back and forth, Olivia's mother (Alena's namesake) was too posh to give her daughter much affection as a small child.  That's apparently what nannies are for.  There'll be no withholding hugs from Liv's own babies.

The Newt House

Yunan, Olivia, Marcy and Alena hanging out on their porch one fine evening.  I drew this in pencil with little planning and no straightedges, and really enjoyed the freehand, sketchy quality, so I just inked it in ballpoint and added a bit of airbrushing.  I think it has a cozy, lived-in feel.

Newt Beginnings

Strap in for just SO much headcanon.  TLDR: I gave them babies because I can't leave well enough alone.

Having helped defeat the big bad and settled in the pastoral countryside, Yunan and Olivia decided they'd like to have a family.  They inquired of the same orphanage where Yunan had spent her childhood and discovered a pair of infants who had been rescued around the same time.  The two were lovely babies, but were a hard sell because neither was actually a newt.  T...

In real life most /newts/ have palatal teeth, which are more like bony protrusions against which they crush their prey.  Yunan, famously, has a big mouthful of razor-sharp choppers.  Her Thirsty Ladyship approves of those ferocious fangs...as long as no permanent marks are left in evidence.
