Misc Updates

These busy finals weeks I've been sneaking in various improvements and fixes based on the feedback, and made another minor update.

Mostly just polishing and extra details to help the player orient. One of the more significant changes is that now there are few Initiates in Map01,Cerberi in Map02 and Iron Maidens in Map03, to further address the complaints regarding the slow take off of the game and lack of enemy variation in the first levels.

Hell Week(s) and Future Plans

Hey hey, we've finally reached our first Patreon goal! Which means that Episode 2 is coming to reality! Thanks a lot for the support so far, guys, love ya.

Now the bad news is that I'm having my finals these two weeks, so I'm going to be extremely slowly working on Hedon whenever I can pinch some time. I will focus on the monthly rewards and try to work more on the Wiki page.

Kat G's Reward + New Patreon Reward Format

Hedon 1.3.1 is out!

Only few days left until the big Steam release on the 16th! 

And 1.3.1 will be the version to go!

Important:

In order to update Hedon, you will have to uninstall and reinstall it (should take only a minute do do so)

Bear in mind that savegames do not work across different game versions, so make a backup with your current version before updating if you want to keep them.

Gore Update

I've made a bunch of gore modifications for the upcoming Steam release version.

First, I've added Quake styled blood trails to flying giblets (they will look better in motion than in this screenshot).

Secondly, I've lowered giblet gravity across the board to give them more air time and a slightly more "slow motion" feel when they fly around.

Also, Cultist and Conscript chests now can fly a lot higher when gibbed.

Wiki Progress - Locations & Secondary Characters

I've been pretty much putting all my spare time in building the wiki page now. After finishing the weapons and inventory I went on to build the location pages, as well as some of the interesting secondary characters that appear around the game.

Wiki Entry - Weapons, Health, Armor

Did you know that the Potion Launcher was initially capable of shooting buffing potions?

Or that eating a sausage boosts your health by 4hp?

Or that a Medium Armor Crystal reduces the damage you take by 45%?

All this and much more in the wiki!
I also started working on the consumables but will continue tomorrow since I've been writing the entire day and my head hurts.

Map01 Post Expansion

As you can see, the expansion is quite chunky. This area will become accessible only after completing the Moondrop Flower offering, and the temple I've mentioned is a secret by itself (kind of like a secret within a secret). 

I'm pretty happy with how it came out, and I think it's a good addition to break the backtracking required after you place the flower.

Road to Steam

For the past week I've been working my ass off to get Hedon on Steam. A pretty exhausting and complicated process, but nonetheless, doable. I've just fired it up for Valve to look over it, the approval period may take quite a while and unfortunately since this is my first application that I publish to Steam we'll have to wait 30 days until it can go public.

Anyway, if everything goes according to plan, Hedon should release on Steam on 16th of May!

Added a refrigerator and butchery (along with some new sprites for it) as well as the Bear Warrior council room (similar to the one in the Reaver HQ or the Lancer Temple at the end).
