When I was drawing this last Being Fiona strip, I felt a temptation to go back and alter the last few strips before it by giving Jess thigh on socks or pantyhose. But after two quick test sketches, I decided that Jess was fine with bare legs, mainly because in the vast majority of panels to come (like the test sketch I did in the fourth image), you can only see Jess' upper thigh!

So, I decided to better reflect that its late November in Seattle, Jess show have her jacket zipped up. I kind of also want to go back and edit 290 so that her jacket is closed in that strip too, but then the dialogue about her cleavage will make no sense. So I'll just leave that strip alone I guess?

This strip is about where I finished writing my last batch of strips about a year ago, and I might be misremembering, but I don't think that those AI apps that connect to your Zoom or Teams calls and then output auto-generated minutes and notes existed the same was as they do now. So, I had to take that 'futuristic' feature of Jess' implant, and re-write the dialogue so that it was an everyday thing.

Anyhow, I've really enjoyed fleshing out Jess' backstory. It's been a while, but I think when I originally conceptualized Jess' character, she wasn't even Felix's classmate, she was just some random girl who used an implant to rent out use of her body for girls to use on dates.

Sorry about the late update! I finished drawing the comic early yesterday, but as I was going to bed, I realized I had forgotten to upload it!
