Here's a small extra thing I made to practice some pixel art today. It was super fun! I got to really just relax and have fun with it, really focusing on colors and readibility and some other pixel art stuff that I don't get to do too often with my regular animations

The only downside is that it's 3pm and I havent had lunch yet, so these made me so fucking hungry hahahaha. I guess that's a good sign tho

Hell yeah, I finally completed this one! This was easily the hardest animation I've made to date, it took over twice the time and work of my usual ones hahaha

It is also the heaviest animation on my page because of that! Gif optimization usually lets me get away with about 8 to 9mb, but since there are so many moving parts the final animation ended up being 12mb (note that FurAffinity has a 10mb file limit, so if you're viewing the animation there then I'm sorry but ...

To be honest, I think this is some of the best pixel art I've made so far, in terms of actual rendering and stuff at least! As usual I can see some pretty big areas I could still improve this one, but it's always better to learn from it and apply it to the next animations than to just spend infinite time trying to get this on...

I took the time to organize and label everything (and strip the timelapse data that clip studio puts in, this thing was like 2gb!)

Wanna have an idea on how much I struggled with this one? The entire mid section of the speedpaint is hours of work that was completely thrown away hahaha

The work I did at the start of the video is the one I ended up going with and using in the final painting, there's a whole 2 or 3 different almost completed paintings in the middle there that I discarded

It was a bitch to make! But at the same time this is really good practice, so it's all good

Lately I've been trying to get back into painting again, it feels it's been so long so I wanted to give it another shot to see how it turned out

There's a lot I'm not suuuuper happy about here, but the only way to get better is to keep trying and making mistakes! I also got to draw this cute mamoswine skin from Unite so that's always a big plus

I really enjoy when I can make the animations look a bit more 3d like this, the effect always feels good in the end

I also wanted to add more detail to this one, but I guess this angle is kind tricky for these character designs, their lower parts are much more plain than the upper ones hahaha
