I was planning on working on an Alp from Tokyo Afterschool Summoners pic but I unfortunately came down with a pretty nasty fever so that's gonna get delayed for a bit

In the meantime here's something I don't post often, I usually make proportion studies for every new character I plan on drawing as it is a pretty good way to have them stay in model. After I've learned all the size and shape relations between their main body parts I'll usually save them in a sheet like this...

Etalus Portrait Speed Paint

And here's the speed paint video for this one. I made a point to stay as close as possible to traditional painting techniques in this one, so the entire paint part was made in a single layer and no special effects such as color correction were applied, everything was painted by hand and took about 1h40min not counting that initial sketch I already had on the canvas at the very beginning

I've been studying my painting skills a lot lately, and my hands are itching to work on a pixel animation

So how about we start working on a new pokebreeder then? I'm pretty hyped for this one so it'll probably take just a week or two to complete

The only thing is that I wasn't 100% sure on who to make it about, I was almost doing venusaur but then dragonite also came to mind, then as I was rereading my list I thought "Woah, flygon or emboar could be pretty cool too...

Mid February Updates! - Master's stuff, Game Dev and more

Hey guys!

Oof, it does not feel like a week since I've last updated you guys. I'm kinda on super-crunch time right now so I don't see time passing.

Alright, first things that I gotta talk about: My master's thesis.

It's nearly done.

Yay!

The bad part, there's officially a little countdown timer above my head now. I got roughly a month to finish writing the thesis, running the experiments, submitting it to the professors who will be evaluating it and then waiting ...
