Which layer mode I use for the lineart is a common question I get asked, hopefully with this I can explain a little better that its not just one mode/layer used with the lineart on many paintings.

Update. Initially this one was planned for last week as mentioned in past update, but I've been working a pair of ideas I want to develop for it (like shown above, an extra one I want to test and see if its possible!).

Lower leg section. Less groups and muscles so is easier to remember but I find the shape harder (included transversal cut in this one).

There is a lack of references showing all views of leg's anatomy that include all muscles (the ones I find focus on a single section or view). I decided to make my own reference with front, inner, lateral and posterior views to help visualize which muscles are visible on each side and how they go around the leg or cross each other.
The way I like to think of the upper side of the leg is to divide it in 4 groups ...

One of the things Warden006 and I like to play with is with very high contrasts.
We both knew we wanted to keep both characters silhouette being an important feature in the painting since deciding the poses. Some of the lines and contrasts for this were established in the sketch phase, others surged along the way during other stages

I tried to synthetize a common approach to shading eyes that I use on many of my cell–shade style paintings, 11 images in total.
A PSD layered file is attached to this post with the final layers used. Done in and using SAI2.0 terminology for above notes but can be opened on photoshop for viewing as well.
