Alopex — Art Journal

It's been some time since I made notes about the composition behind works. Some concepts I had in mind here are in the image notes.

I really dig these rough style line-art, but I haven't done many of them now that I think off. I think I should make more like this. Other images with similar line work are Zabivanka and the Braixen x Lucario series.

About the color, I took advantage of his official colors and used the contrast of the saturated yellow color of his eyes vs the contrasting blu...

Fidget Laying — Step Process (Semi-NSFW)

If you remember the Fidget poses poll, I combined the A and G poses.

About the style, tried to balance shading/line-art to making it look visually appealing but clean enough to experiment with frame animation. I'm not satisfied yet with the results so I think will keep experimenting with this style in that regard.

This was also the image with more edits that I have done until now. Hope there is more like that since enjoyed making the variations.

Hello everyone!

Milla Process [Medium] — Video and Gif

The initial sketch (not visible in the gif) felt a little too cartoon for what I was looking in this piece, I rebuilt the drawing with a little better perspective and construction.

The process was a pretty straightforward, keep painting and refining over piling layers. In reality I could have done all that on one single layer but I like to step back a few steps and edit layers below to experiment, so its rare I work on a single layer and reserve that option for very simple drawings.

Medium rendering — Video (NSFW)

Video is faster than usual.

I used a flat brush here for a more painterly feeling and visible strokes, but sometimes I use a combination of round brush and airbrush for more anime like rendering, like the Missing Shot picture.

(My) Simple shading process (NSFW. Video)

Since opened Patreon I've been testing and practicing a simple style to be able to draw more quickly and maybe serve for animations. Here is the shading process that I use for that style. The technique is brush independent so it can be done in any software probably.
