Here's your early download for the next song up: Divine Bloodlines from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood! I've based this arrangement using mostly the Harmony of Despair version (my personal favorite) as a base, but also borrowing some influence from the Portrait of Ruin and original versions.

Preview & Small Update post! April 14th, 2025

Hey Patrons!

Attached to this post is a preview of the next song up: Divine Bloodlines from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. I should be finished with this one either tomorrow or Wednesday, with the video up the next day.

(I've based this remix heavily on the Harmony of Despair arrangement, as it's one of my favorite Castlevania arrangements like, ever)

I was hoping to have this ready and up last week, but our latest puppy addition (Scrappy) had his neutering surgery last week so I've been having to keep an eye on him while he recovers, which has turned out to be a bit of a handful when there are two other dogs constantly trying to play with him lol. He's just a few days from being fully recovered, and I've been working on what I can in the meantime, so we're still on course for a normal 4+ song month!

Also, we'll have our next Patreon Request List listening stream this weekend. I'll confirm the exact day and time at least a day prior (it will fall on either Saturday or Sunday).

Patreon Stream #94 Recap + Handpicked PRL Choice!

Hey Patrons! Here's a quick of today's stream for those who missed it.

A lot of Switch 2 discussion today, aside from that, the song chosen to go on the to-do list during today's stream was:

 The Synapse from Deus Ex, from the list of Stephen Yankovich! A real classic old school VGM soundtrack here.

For this month's handpick, I'm going with a song that has been requested quite a lot for nearly a decade:

Vs. Lumine from Mega Man X8, currently on the lists of Dakota Cummins and Legends-Sometimes-Dies! Ever since Mega Man Mega Medley II I've received numerous requests for a full version of Lumine 2, and it's been on several Patron lists over the course of time, so let's get to it! I'll be doing both phases.

Update Post! April 5th, 2025 (Patreon Stream later today!)

Hey Patrons! Here's your first update post for the month.

The current to-do list is now:

Divine Bloodlines, the recent GaMetal Discord Request Battle winner, will be next up and should be ready by the middle of next week, this will be followed up by GBA Medley 2.

The rest of the order will remain TBA for the moment, along with another 2 PRL songs getting added later today during the Patreon Stream and my personal handpicked choice after. Today's stream will take place at our usual time of 4:00 PM US Eastern (about 3.5 hours from this post).

I have an important update regarding this year's May Madness event. I mentioned in the Discord that I was considering moving May Madness this year, and I've decided that's what I'm going to do officially. I'm really wanting to clear out the to-do list (including all the songs that've been on there for quite some time) ASAP, so this year instead of May Madness, we're going to move the event to June instead (June Jamboree?). More updates on that next month.

Quick streaming service update I'd like to mention! In addition to the last 3 songs (all expected to go up), I'm now able to get a few older songs as well. Thanks to the recent partial release of the soundtrack on Nintendo Music, I've resubmitted Sword of the Surviving Guardian, Northeast Frost Street, Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit and A Full-Speed Farewell to the New World for licensing, so they should soon be up on streaming services! I had to split the last two into individual parts (as well as cut out the middle interlude I used originally, Chaos Elfilis Intro / The Fate of Two Worlds) for licensing purposes (non-medley, no official release for that middle part yet). Morpho Knight is still not up on the app, but supposedly the rest of the soundtrack is to be released later, so we should be able to get that one up sometime in the future.

Lastly an awesome new non-GaMetal feature:

I'll be doing some Guitar work for Tee Lopes for the upcoming game Marvel: Cosmic Invasion! You can currently hear my guitars in the trailer that dropped during the previous Nintendo Direct. If you were a fan of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge (or even if you never played it 😅), be sure to check this one out!

Preview/Update Post! March 25th, 2025

Hey Patrons!

I've got a jam packed week of songs headed your way! Attached to this post is a preview of the next song up: Actions Over Words from SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech. I should have this one finished tomorrow with the video up the following day.

In addition to a song already on our list from the latest Patreon stream (Inner Station, which will be the song to follow Actions Over Words), I have 2 other songs coming up not previously determined/revealed. The first of which is the winner of the latest GaMetal Discord Request Battle, which featured a tournament of songs that lost previous Request Battles throughout history. The winner of that was Divine Bloodlines (Castlevania: Rondo of Blood), and I plan to get to it right before the OTHER song to add on here: the always mysterious April Fool's Day special.

I'm really focused on having all of these things off the to-do list ASAP (including those vocal songs, I'm super serious this time I swear), as well as finishing up Project Peppermint. I'll keep you updated on this front later next month.

New GaMetal Video! The Oracle (Secret of Mana)

First video of the month is ready! Here's The Oracle from Secret of Mana.

I've always wanted to do this song eventually, I'm glad it's taken me this long because I would've really messed it up if I attempted it back in the day lmao. It's such a unique track, I had to arrange it a bit differently than my usual material.

 The SoM soundtrack has fallen to the wayside in modern times, but it still holds a special place in us old VGM enjoyer's hearts.

Quick Update Post March 8th, 2025 (Dr. Neo Cortex: Split Edition download, also PRL listening stream tomorrow!)

Hey Patrons!

So with the recent Dr. Neo Cortex Medley being a medley consisting of 3 distinctly different songs (which as we know makes it unlicenseable), I've split the three songs up so we can get them on streaming services (which I just submitted and should go up sometime next week). Each track also has an additional (identical) loop.

We'll be having our next Patreon Request List listening stream tomorrow (March 9th)! We'll be beginning a little bit earlier than usual, starting around 3:00 PM US Eastern Time (an hour earlier than our usual 4:00 pm eastern start). The link will be posted here shortly before we begin.

I've been hard at work on the next set of songs and my goal is to have at least two out before the midway point of the month. Oracle preview soon, I'll see you again tomorrow for our request list listening stream! 😃

I have an appointment to go to this afternoon, so just to be safe, I'm going to move today's Patreon stream ahead an hour, so we'll be starting around 5:00 PM US Eastern Time rather than our usual 4pm start.

After we pull today's song from the Patreon Request List, I'm also going to do a rough song order for GBA Medley 2 on stream. So for those interested in viewing the process of how I order medley songs, be sure to stick around!

As mentioned in the last update post, we'll be doing another Patreon Request List song listening stream soon, I'm currently eyeing sometime this weekend, I'll confirm the exact day/time at least a day or two prior.

On a final note, I'm about to review/finalize updates on the Patreon Request List now, so for those on request list+ tiers, we should have it fully up to date in about an hour or so.
