took a while but have warmed up proper to making more originals, it's refreshing after years of mini horses and chasing trends. This might mean next year the stream recaps might be filled with esoteric ramblings, things of bizarre origins and expeditions into the weird and wacky.

the word for 2024, as far as resolutions go: authenticity. this true-to-oneself stuff is jolly exciting.

Big drop this go round. 

Digimon won and here's a first of the set. Theme idea for the digis is VR autojacker thingie. there are some centaur-like digis, i wonder how much it'll run afoul with the rules.

I'd fish for ideas and stuff but not today. I have a clear list of things to finish, if I complete the mons early I'll throw up a poll for to-do clearing A titles, finally biting in the meat of it.

And here are, at the end of the year. could be better, got some rough patches plus a fresh ongoing noisy one.

One big change i can say with some certainty is a slight hiccup in inkings, as I try to navigate losing my regular grade of almost 30 years. It's an adjustment, nothing too big, i do need some time to figure it out.

Hey all, putting out an update on what's going on as we plod our way to the end of another year.

Polls done. the results are:
- more originals, which kinda circles back to how this strarted 8 years ago, except this time lewds take up quite the amount.
- Digimon wins, ponies and yu-gi-oh will be yeeted into deep freeze next to the frozen peas, either to be thawed and tried again in the future or cleared out when the novelty wears off. Does not affect my own original interpretations...

A bit light on actual dev stuff. I feel like I don't have much else to develop after Lantern Garden, that's the biggest thing I got that I could write lore around. After the land layout, redo uniform, that kinda settles the basics and there's nothing else to really do.

So on making new big things, I guess that's it. I already find it hard working on 1, it'd be death of me to do maintenance and update on 2 'worlds'.

Trying something functional with my linearts. it was pretty late into the month, had to top off Gold somehow (I'm always short of lewds) and there was a comment on a submission about coloring my inks. So I thought maybe I'd make one with the expressed purpose of being a coloring page.

phew, this took longer that expected. was technically ready to deliver but I chose to color Hann-Ryo main, and that ate up days as I had no coloring plan. Made decisions as I went along, it's not final but it gets the idea across.

Hey all, welcome back, after a well-needed but gone-too-fast break. Kinda lost my train of thought and trying to find where I left off. Got not much else to say besides "Lantern Garden" still has priority and I'm 3 months away until the new year to complete a basic primer.

because i've met all the criterias, I've been given the option to use 'annual memberships'. Basicly pledge for a whole year in advance / 12 months from pledge start? the FAQ ia a bit vague on that besides calling it annual. Anyone else you sub to using it?

While I am tempted to turn on the feature, but it does bring up an issue. What if I want to pause for health or other reasons? Would annual-advance supporters basic lose those months?

Jade 2023.07 - kobo FFFF dev

Got diddle squat on stream doodles this go round, much of it was spent coloring. So instead I bring development work. Because FFFF is treated to commission-grade, it's got similar of pre-visualisation and groundwork.

like commissions, this gives the volunteer an idea of what to expect, and for me to set up boundaries to safely run around in. Also, this development stage lets me quickly do thumbnail sketches of kinks (mine or participant's) and run it by them, making sure it's alright. W...

Gold 2023.07 - So much kobold

I wanted to do some extra non-smol stuff for this but that might put me past the end of July, so this month's Gold is carried entirely on a wee purple kobbo's mighty butt. 

There's the main comic, which holy heck is so much more work than anticipated but learned quite a lot from it, and a couple of extras to 'fill in' what I couldn't in the comic. Not gonna pass up the chance for an internal, with a garnish of cumflating and implied(?) pregging.

Silver 2023.07 - Ma'am hen & chainsaws

Right, to start, turns out my decision to pause August is timely. in recent days the heatwave is slowly creeping back in, that would make work difficult but I am prepared for. Small blessing I guess is the renovation noise should be over, that was an awful 2 months of sporadic wall-rattling. So my only immediate concern should be not to sweat on my work.

Gold -June 2023: seabuns

Don't think I've made saucy slugbuns yet, so I did some. Could do with one more, a deep dive internal, just because.

Needs work but clipping mask has allowed for much more dynamic toon shading. I'm liking what I'm getting but it's rather inefficient and still slow. It takes just as much time for me layer-prep and shade and doesn't look as pleasing.

Oh, and have some beast meat. Gotta do one more regular Fu-meat, and maybe Capri fiskstick for shits and giggles, to compile a selecti...

Chat stuff: tier retructuring

Some history primer: I've been at this since 2015. In the old days, Patreon's reward structure was additive, the higher tier automaticly has access to the lower tiers. It made for easier posting and offering by combo packs.

then around 2018, maybe 2019, customized tiers were introduced. since then I had the extra brain work of ticking the correct boxes for tier access, and very often I keep forgetting or missed it altogether, and there're no tools to return to old reward format.

Got a bit hung up on my bun after trying out and wanting to check a design tweak: thicker neck, for brute-ier bun. It's been a goal to make her more feel more stout

Jade 2023.04 - so many clipping masks

I've been abusing the clipping mask, working it into my muscle memory, and I couldn't trust myself to one-layer tone things in my sleep-deprived state. So the layers in these PSDs are gonna look like weird step-ladders.

Got a small dev going, roughly laid-out 8 pages of Fu's visit to the Lantern Garden, It still features mice as his escort because it'll team up with Shu at the end (which also serves as a character reveal)

Gold 2023.04 - more inks

4 months into the year and I find keeping my resolution tough going. The temptation to keep bending the rules to say 'oh it's just a small thing' could easily end with a lotta small things.

One thought to flout the rule was to let yall in Gold to pick something to do from my extensive to-draw folders, and count that as 'work', but even that doesn't sit right with me. So I preservere in training myself to do more originals.
