Server issue

Hi


Just thought I'd let everyone know that the server issue has been resolved.


It was what I thought it was, and we'll hopefully have no more problems of that sort.


Also, I'll be making a plans post tomorrow to let you know what to expect in the next patch.

I don't do this to tease you. I really haven't decided what it will include yet.

Time for the promised progress update.


Well, most of the assets are done. A total on 156 renders. I have to redo about 5 of them. Not that much.

So unless there is some major problem, the patch will be ready tomorrow evening.

Hi


I don't usually post renders with nudity in progress updates. But I liked this one so much, I had to do it. :)


Well, things are going well so far. There is basically one scene left to do. On the other side, it's a very complex scene Six characters, 2 different locations, with cuts going back and forward. It will require some care.


I'm aiming for a Saturday evening release. But depending on how well I get this last scene, it might be Sunday.

Time for another progress update.

Well, we're reaching 80 renders.

Timeline wise, we're nearing the end of the first day. 

So, we're pretty much on schedule for a next weekend release. I've done the cramped enviro renders if full scene, not background and foreground. The example is the picture above. Like I said, they take a little longer, but I think they look better, mainly because of more realistic lighting.

Well it's time for a plans post.


Let's get the bad news, at least for some of you I think out of the way.

I intend to switch permanently from weekly updates to one every two weeks. I know that will upset some of you, but that's what it is. 

Two reasons for this:

1) Making the last Dana and Kelly patches on a two week schedule, allowed me to go back, redo what I didn't like, make corrections etc.... That I think made for better patches for b...

2 more days have passed, and it's time for the last progress update,before the patch is done.

All of the assets are done, and I've started writing the dialogue. I've taken the day off work to get it all done, and I'll be using today and tomorrow to finish the scene. 

The scene should be ready tomorrow evening. That will leave only implementation, which is the easy part.

Just got home from a loooooong day at work, so I'll keep this very short.

We're at 180 renders that I'm happy with. These took a little longer since they're mostly inside a boat. It would of looked weird using the same foreground and background technique that I used with Dana from the beginning. So I used some of the ones  I've been experimenting with in the Kelly game. They take a little bit longer, but they also look better.

Like I promised, there will be a progress update every 2 day, just so you don't think I'm dead :). Even if there can't be that much progress in 2 days, I like to keep you guys in the loop.


Well, about 150 renders are done. And in terms of timeline we are approaching noon of the second day. 

Now, some of these renders I'll have to fix. I'm not pleased with how the night time swim came out.

Time to let you know how things are going.


Well, approx 80 renders are done, so far.

In terms of timeline, I've reached the night of the first day. All that's left to do is the bar scene, and maybe a sex scene. Still haven't decided about sex scene, I don't want the weekend to turn into a fuckathon. 

All the assets for the first day should be ready tomorrow.

It's time for a progress update.

Well, I'm basically in the full swing of making the new getaway event. 

From the looks of it, it seems that it will be the biggest one to date, since it will probably be well above 200 renders.

Now, there is no way, I can finish an event that big, by this weekend. My weekly output is about 80 to 100 renders, 120 if I really push it. 

Long time patrons are aware of this problem I have, maybe new ones, not so much. ...

Well, the time has come to make a plans post :).  


As you can probably guess from the pic, what's coming up is the Dana+Andrea getaway event.

Why this one? Well, because it's what I'm feeling right now. I know that sounds strange, but all day at work, I was thinking about what they might do at the dead uncle's place. And I want to strike the iron while it's hot.

Well, a bit of bad news. I'm having to redo the last scene in the update, which is what I've been doing most of the day. I've sent some of you the some of the renders, and from the feedback, they might of been a little ambitious. 

I'll certainly do my best, and I still have about 8h to finish everything. But if I can't, I'll have to postpone the release till tomorrow after I get home from work.

Quick update

Well I though I'd tell you guys how things are going. 

Have to say, pretty well. I have 2 more scenes left to render, and I'll have pretty much all of the assets finished. One of the scene is already posed, and all that's left is to let my PC render it. The other one, I have barely started to create.

Also, I've redone most of the renders from the alpha with the new settings, they look much better now, I think.

Because the last public version was flagged by google drive for some reason, I've decided to release 0.048 sooner. 

Due to the size of the game, and to make it easier for my patrons, I've created an installer for Dreaming of Dana. It will also work for non patrons. I got home not long ago and I owe you guys a little preview, on how the renders have improved.

Well, the alpha went out to 20$ patrons last night. 

Some good news and some bad news. 

The bad news is that there are a lot of renders that I have to fix from the alpha. But they are fixable.

The good news is that my experiments have payed off. I found the optimal render setting for my current hardware. So, you should see an improvement in quality.

Progress update

Well, I got my PC back yesterday. Everything seems to be working fine. I spent most of last night doing different tests. And I can say, that it's approximately 38 to 42 % faster when rendering :)))


I've put in the new patch of renders in, and things are moving along again. 

I hope to have an alpha with the first half of the 3rd day ready tomorrow night, but I'm not promising that. It might be Monday night.

Time for the usual plans post.

Some good news first. 

I'll be getting another 1080ti GPU the day after tomorrow. This will allow me to increase the quality and speed of my renders, and hopefully get more content up sooner.

The bad news about it is that I have to leave my PC with them overnight, for stress tests and the like. Either way you slice it, I won't be able to do any work for 2 day.

I know you haven't heard from me in a few days, but that's because I've been really busy.

The patch is done, only a few dialogue lines left to write. Unfortunately, I'll be really busy with RL stuff today, so I won't finish it right away.


It will be released today, but quite late into the night, I think.

There's not much to say, really. Everything is going well. I'd say about 70% of the renders are already done ( it's easier when you have all the resources at ready). The coding will be done tonight, I think, and all that will remain will be the dialogue and bugfixes.

Well, this weekend you can expect the Jessica+ Dana date. It's shaping up to be pretty large, but due to experience I'm working faster now than I used to.

Also I'll be writing more of the girls backstory in the "get to know them" dialogues.

It's basically all done. I finished the Jessica alpha a few minutes ago. All that's left  is to write the dialogue for the confessions. I think Andrea will be in this one, and maybe Dana to.


I have a birthday to go to right now, but I'll finish up when I get home, and the patch will be released later tonight.

Almost forgot to make a progress update. Over here we're all on holiday, and I got caught up in other things :P

New patcher version

Hi


Well there's not much to say. It's a new version of the patcher, that has a scroll bar added. 

Some patrons with low resolutions couldn't see all of the buttons on the patcher. This should fix that.


In regards to the next patch. Things are on schedule. Also I'm off from work tomorrow, so I'll try to finish and post the Dana new random alpha tomorrow night.

Going to keep it a little short. 


For this weekend's patch, I'm gonna keep it a little lighter, to recover form last week's patch. 

So you can expect a Dana random event, plus  one more random. Not sure what girl yet, depends on what story pops in my head at the moment. Also I want to advance the confessions for the girls a bit. Been meaning to do that for a while, but other things got in the way.

Another quick update

Well, the Maria date with Mila alpha, went out early yesterday. Not much to change about it, so it's ready for implementation in the main game. 

As for the Dana+Maria with Mila date. Still working on in. Most of the renders are done, still waiting on the last 8 to finish, but that shouldn't take more then a few hours, the coding is done. It's basically all done, except the dialogue. I'll be writing that tonight, and I'll hopefully have the alpha ready late tonight.

Had to make quick post, I know I promised the alpha tonight. But I don't think it's gonna happen.

It's finished but my internet ia down. Tired to create hotspot from my phone but upload is taking for ever.
