Belle of the Hero Cats!
Three more cats coming. Don't worry. Plenty of days left in the month. Lots of other things to draw ;)

Yes, I'm going to try and keep up with the Inktober thingy. I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, so here's the first one!
And here's the shot of Danica Patrick I did for that same cover to Sonic Universe #45. What an odd addition to the roster. Its tough to pare down a real person's features and make them fit in with a bunch of cartoon characters. I also didn't have reference for her car from the game, so I had to just put here in her Nascar racer. Lame.
Here are the inks for a pic of Beat as he appeared in Sonic Universe #45, which was the adaptation of the Sonic Racing Transformed game. The finished art was just a tiny thing at the top corner of the cover.
Here we see the work I did on the cover to StH#217.
When doing a cover, I always start with several thumbnail sketches, showing several different ideas. This one happened to have 7, which is more than usual. The story theme was "Thicker than Water" which refers to Bunnie's Uncle, who runs an oil refinery for Dr. Eggman. So, oil was a natural direction to go with the visuals. Once I have a few ideas down, the editor and I decide which one is best to move forward with.

Clean inks from the poster I used on the Patreon page header. I did this piece of art a couple of years ago when Tokopop was trying to get an Indiegogo campaign off the ground to do more animated work based on their Spike TV pitch of a few years earlier.
Here it is folks! Some of my die hard fans may have read these in the past, but for those who don't know, before I worked on Sonic the Hedgehog or Riding Shotgun, my good friend Nate Bowden and I, along with help from Brandon Page, produced 3 issues of our own book: "Nate and Steve.."
I used to work at a gas station during the day and drew these at night. This was 12 years ago or so, and I didn't need so much sleep back then ;) We'd sell them at conventions, and it was this work that helpe...

Here's a sneak peek at the pencils for issue 2 of GMCG. In "Field Trip to the Final Frontier," Suzie Quest's class is the first to visit the brand new Luna Alpha moon base, and Galaxy Man is the guest of honor! Will it be a spacewalk in the park or will trouble rear its unwelcome head as it usually does when our heroes are around? This is a freebie preview for all the fans, but if you'd like to see more behind-the-scenes art production, consider pledging your support and seeing lots more cool ...

Boy do I have SO much stuff to share. I'm going to be making at least one post a day, so get ready. But first off, I'm very excited to announce the development of my brand new webcomic, "Tales of the Rabbit Riders!"
Its in the very beginning stages, so if you sign up as a patron of $5 or more monthly, you'll get to see all the art development and I'll post character profiles and details about the world as I work them up as well. Above is the VERY FIRST piece of concept art I have. Don't...
