The first proper mind alteration spell is done, yay!
The next update will feature settings, where you can control certain aspects of the GUI but also your game experience, such as updating your content filter. Being able to rename your character seems like an obvious fit for the same update, and it can be used for so much more than just customizing your character!

The holiday event is now live! During this event, you will be able to find gifts that hold exclusive holiday-themed items. The event will last until December 30th, and will return each year and whenever the in-game calendar is between December 1st and December 30th.
By using dyes on a gift, you will be able to force it to hold a particular crafting recipe, if you haven't already learned it. This can be very useful in getting the recipes you are missing by using dyes instead of gifts.

Happy 1st of December everyone! I have finally taken care of all the critical errors and the mess they left behind so I can continue development of new content without having to worry about things getting even messier!
I will be working on the Yule event in the coming week, and hope to have it done no later than December 15th. I have made my list of things to go in the update from your votes, and I am really excited to make this event!

I landed another freelance contract today that grants me work until March. Which is great because it gives me time to work on the game instead of chasing jobs :D
This weekend and some of next week I will be working on the Yule event and some hotfixes for the game, then hopefully, we will have something that can go live when December comes around. :)

Unfortunately, because I have been chasing some every evasive and critical bugs, I haven't been able to make much progress on the next update. However, I want a Christmas event this year! So I am pushing in a Christmas update before the planned update comes out.
The school isn't Christian, however, and celebrates Yule instead, which is a similar pagan tradition that does not involve the church. And that's a reveal, cause it means you don't have to be nice ;)

A few weeks ago I started a conversation for commissioning a Live2D Model for Lacey as part of the $250 goal, and here's the first draft of her design. The model will have two outfits; her original outfit and the more cosy one you see here. She will also have a pose holding her signature wineglass. :)

The reception for the recent update was incredible, with player retention seeing a much larger increase than usual! It's great to see that a lot of players enjoy the new and overhauled content. :)
This update has also seen a lot more hotfixes than usual. This is mainly in preparation for the next update. I have been pushing cleaning up the project, and it shows in the form of bugs and errors.

The new update is live, and with it the game has received an overhaul to transgeder and sissification content in addition to the many things shared with you here over the last two months.
The game now has two spells, one for feminine and one for masculine qualities, which are dedicated to transgender and sissification content, and they have five new qualities they can cause on characters that alter their gender appearance in less drastic ways than changing their gender abruptly

I just finished up the last effects of the new inanimate-themed spells today!
There are three spells in the set:
A spell that turns the target character into latex, starting with smooth skin and ending with them being a latex doll of a heavier variety.

I have managed to finish the graphics for all the clothes that will be added with the next update.
They are loosely themed around school uniforms, with the introduction of a school uniform and a plaid skirt and tie to match, so you can explore campus and attend classes with style!

Ink has been working on the background for the auditorium. They have had a lot to see to over the summer, so progress has been sparse, but I have a great sketch I can share with you!
I've had a few busy weeks myself, but this weekend I have some time to work on Battle Mage Royal. I expect I will be able to implement the spell for changing the appearance of items, and maybe even a new item or two. :)

With the next update items will be able to hold two magical properties at once, crafting recipes have more options depending on the context, and the power of different magical properties have been adjusted to make the gab from magic and occult to blessed smaller. Properties have been divided into two sets, one for either slot, in order to make it more difficult but also less neccessary to make specialist builds.

Thanks to everyone who supports Battle Mage Royal, we have now reached the second goal of the campaign! With the campaign now raising more money than is necessary to run the services, I can begin to comission things for the game without having to pull it from my own pocket. We are nearing the $200 stretch goal for emotes, so I have been in contact with an artist to make some nice emotes for the Discord server and potentially Twitch in the future. :D

Ink finished the backgrounds for the gym location today, and they look fantastic! We now have backgrounds for half of the locations currently in the game :D
I am always amazed by how the backgrounds turn out, so I am always looking forward to the next one! I believe the next location will be the auditorium. :)

Today I finished the system for stackable items, which turned out to be more troublesome than I had initially expected. Unstacking needed to create a new item id for the new stack, and that introduced some nasty cases where if players moved items in their inventory while the item was being created by the database, they would corrupt their inventory and potentially lose items! Hopefully players will never have to experience this when it goes life in a few weeks!

An issue that caused some Patreon supporters to not get their rewards properly after linking their accounts have been resolved.
