This one was a challenge to make, and I took many gambles but I don't think they really worked. In the end, I don't like this piece, but it was a fun experiment!

i thought it might be fun to do a little speedpaint for a whole two-page comic, so it ended up looong(the entire process took 5 hours.) i didn't plan this comic out so it ends up changing a lot throughout the process. Also i skip a small part at the beginning accidentally, but what happens is just me zooming in and coloring the sketch black. Hope you enjoy!

usually this is my m.o making comics. for this one i really got struck with the visual of artemy's eye through liquid in a jar for whatever reason, then just doodled fun stuff that might work with it. the script came last(lol).... usually i script out first, but sometimes comics are just fun ways to tell a silly lil visual story. here, i think the end result is kinda messy though, sort of like it more with just the lines. but that's just how it is some times! lineart is traditional, then colo...

instead of the last one, i decided i wanted to try to do a composition that focuses on faces and closeness. this is how the current sketch is looking, but i think the final product will look preeetty different. this one will get a proper speedpaint for u :-D

took some pics of my progress. I'm not super well versed with clay, but it's really fun experimenting with it. what i do is usually i sketch out first what i want the finished piece to be, then try following that... but it's HARD! what seems fun and dynamic in a drawing might just come out clunky in clay... but that's part of the fun too, kinda! after i'm done i bake the clay in the oven, then i paint it 2 layers with white as a base acrylic color, then just try to paint 'em as best as i can....

the materials this was made with was these windsor and newton inks. they run pretty expensive normally(around 4$/bottle) but i usually get 'em on clearance and i really recommend it! especially if you wanna try inks out, they're real easy and the colours come out really popping!
what i do is i usually make the lineart in brown ink, then color, then lay on black ink for lineart! I'm kinda ambivalent cause sometimes i feel like the black ink makes stuff muddier and uglier, but it al...
