Last WiP shots of the Lion before his base

With the sword finally complete, here is the last shots of the lion before his base is complete and it all coming together. Honestly the sword on this model isn't the real drawing point to it and nor is the sculpt really asking more to be done. I think with enough time (if the project allowed for it, or for a Golden Daemon project), a freehand engraved design would have been really cool. Lion El Jonson - Cold Temperature pt.3

Back with part 3 of Lion El Jonson, we turn the model around to tend to the "cold" side of the miniature and create the temperature contrast that plays off the warm light illuminating the front. The Lion Shows his face

With the second part of the Lion tutorial coming just around the corner, covering the method of painting the Gold NMM. I've been busy today painting the Face of the Lion himself! A beautiful sculpt in itself, and really the most exciting part of the model I was eager to paint. And of course for you Patreons, this has been recorded entirely and will be edited along with my guiding narrative of painting it so you can learn the method!

Foundations - Brush Strokes

In this Foundations tutorial, we dive into the workings and effects of various brush strokes I use in the miniature painting process. Through a full live demonstration that is both on a white piece of paper as well as on a model of a space marine shoulder pad. To get the most out of this tutorial, I suggest you follow along with both your own piece of white paper and a primed and cleaned miniature spare piece with little detail for distraction such as this shoulder pad for practice.
