Notice of edit:

After plotting out the next bunch of chapters I realise I have messed up titling this arc, and it's going to get changed.

This doesn't effect the chapters themselves just the titles. I am mainly making this notice so you don't find anything amiss when I post the next chapter under the new name, Amber, on the coming Saturday or see the three currently uploaded titles after I edited them.

Amber - 3.5 (An Order of Amber) [NSFW]

A foreword: As I post this on QQ as well as on SB, some of the content is intended to eventually be Lewd. At least minorly. This is the first piece that fits that criteria. Nothing in this segment is specific only to it, and it just shows Gwen and Lorna being friendly with the latter teasing the former.

It fits in between between scenes two and three of Rebellion Chapter 3.

Like everything else it will eventually be free to read, but keeping it QQ exclusive without putting it on P...

Amber - 3 (An Order of Amber)

Soon enough it was time to depart from Tal'Doren's grove. I spent another night in the Dream with my small fox friend, wondering if they Blink Foxes were related to the fox I had seen in my vision, but there was no great insight to be had here. From the seal used to keep the Worgen sleeping beneath Daral'nir I could advance my own efforts on that front, drawing people into slumber more easily, perhaps even forcing them into hibernation but it wasn't what I had hoped for.

Still, it wasn'...

Amber - 2 (An Order of Amber)

After some of the comments on Amber - 1 on Spacebattles I realised I was missing something from the Tal'Doren trip and added an additional scene, it's the final one of the chapter.

No other changes beyond some grammar checking and minor structure edits to the previous parts.

Sorry about this, but it adds some actual purpose to the Tal'Doren trip that had been missing before.

CTRL+F 'Rachel' for start of new segment.

Amber - 1 (An Order of Amber)

The air was chill as the snow crunched beneath my feet, the only sounds to be heard the creaking of the trees as their boughs bent under the weight of this winter's snows or the rustling of the few leaves on evergreen trees that dotted the forest here and there. It was the same silence that had encompassed my journey through the Blackwald with Celestine when I first made this trip, though this time there was no one along side me to keep me company.

Once again the air of the forest weigh...

Interstitial - 4 (An Order of Amber)

Jonas hefted his staff as he walked down the Gilnean road, dearly regretting not learning to ride in his younger years. Once upon a time he'd enjoyed the hike, the wandering, spending most of his time as a journeying mage and seeking out talented youths on behalf of Dalaran. What need had he had of a horse, of learning to ride, when he could simple 'port himself back home if he ever grew tired of his travels?

Well, now he knew. Ever since he'd settled back into the city to help rebuild ...

Interstitial - 3 (An Order of Amber)

Vivi was a little puzzled by the shape her magical friend had chosen for her home, it wasn't a small house as houses went but also not so grand as to be a manor. Yet it had to have cost a lot, she remembered when her father had set aside a big pile of gold for the building of a new mill to grind grain for their people, and Gwen was having one built intoher house.

A waterwheel rather than a windmill, but still.

It wasn't all done yet, the water... canal for the waterwheel ...

Interstitial - 2 (An Order of Amber)

Roderic ambled his way through town to the Bellflower. He felt guilty what little coin he could scrounge up from jobs here and there went into drink so often, but it was the best way he had to dull the pain. If his brother kicked him out, stopped pitying him – and how he hatedbeing pitied – he'd figure it out.

The pub was buzzing as ever, more new faces wandering over from the Wall that was getting built. Roderic didn't bother to hide his glower at them, most other folks ha...

Interstitial - 1 R,L,I (An Order of Amber)

Rhian walked up to her friend from behind, wrapping her up in a surprise hug. "Do you have to go?" She murmured into Irwen'ss ear. "I'll miss you."

A hand moved up to clasp hers over Irwen's breast. "My daughter came to find me." Irwen whispered. "I... I can't just ignore her, and... she's right. I owe Celestine an apology."

In response Rhian simply tightened her hug around the older woman. They had only known each other a little over a year, from the winter before last, but Irwen...

Seeking - M,F,C- (An Order of Amber)

Morgoth was hardly one to refuse to answer a call for aid, and though this time it had not been in the defence of innocents as he proudly declared to be his greatest calling being summoned to determine if an unknown wielder of magic touched upon things Forbidden was a worthwhile task.

Though Gilneas was renowned for its ill weather the skies had been fair and the day good as he journeyed out alongside his companions. The roads were well kept, even the dirt trail leading to their destina...

Seeking - 17 (An Order of Amber)

The streets of Northglade ran with streams of water careening off the hill the castle was sat upon, the driving rain pouring off of the eaves and onto the cobblestones. In my rush, my furious sprint, I slipped and fell, pushing myself back up and ignoring the sodden mess that my dress was becoming. I'd bruised my leg, maybe fractured a bone, but I had magic.

It didn't matter.

Getting to my bloody traitorous mothermattered.

Maybe she had hated me all along, too stran...

Seeking - 16 (An Order of Amber)

I trudged along the road outside of Dalaran for some time. My mind whirling. Why? How? How did I forget Modera was a member of the Council of Six? Was that even right? Would she have known if I mentioned Krasus being Korialstraz?

Could I have convinced her if I had been completely open?

Why had she changed her mind?

Should I have tried to fight what happened, to resist? I would have ended up in the cells. Like Kael'Thas did. Would. Hopefully would never.

To be thrown o...

Seeking - 15 (An Order of Amber)

"–And that's what I told her." I said, fidgeting under the stares of Magus Corrinth and Sorceress Goldensword. "She... she walked away."

I was still reeling from the Archmage just... ignoring me. She hadn't even been angryjust, just disappointedthat I was telling her things she couldn't believe. And that was still a problem, I still didn't have any evidence I could give them. I could tell people that Krasus was a dragon in disguise, but if theydidn't know th...

Seeking - 14 (An Order of Amber)

Looking back down the hills towards Dalaran was an incredible sight. It was just as amazing as when I'd first seen it, and from afar it honestly seemed even more magical. There was also an undeniable degree of reliefto be outside the walls of the city, the omnipresence of buzzing arcane magic absent for the first time in months. No constant sound of people moving around, just me and nature; the wind in the grass, birds chirping and calling, the rustle of foraging rodents moving about...
