Another Growl Bass Patch but with a twist. After the recent video about "Learning the Grid", here is a practical  example how i came up with patches inspired by FM8 for Dubstep &  Drum and Bass growl basses.

Techy Drum and Bass Drum Grid

Grid patch that plays a techy deep drum and bass drum pattern! In the first iteration its about the sound. Maybe i do some optimizations. Spread the drums out into separate grids and a note grid for the sequencing. But for now, its just how it is.

Deep Techy Drum and Bass from Scratch - Mission Critical

In this video, I demonstrate how to make a deep drum and bass roller track entirely within Bitwig. I start with a drum loop at 170 BPM and build up various bass sounds  and synth layers in Phase 4. I also add percussion elements like shakers  and rides. I create different sections by removing or adding elements.

Scale Highlighting

Yo some thoughts about scales & stuff.

• Scale highlighting features on music production tools like Ableton  Live can be misleading, as they show all the notes of a scale but don't  determine the actual key or mode being used.
• The key or mode is  determined by which notes are used most frequently in a melody or chord  progression, and where they are placed.

Melodic Kick

From Blank Canvas to Sonic Mosaic: Bitwig Jam Session

Simply hit the record button and let creativity take over. I recently  immersed myself in a spontaneous jam session with Bitwig, beginning with  a blank canvas and gradually painting an audible picture with new  tracks and sequences. I crafted an ambiance with some pads, weaved in a  few melodies, and finally grounded it all with a rhythmic beat. Sit back  and enjoy this musical journey.
