Irregular Looper

This is an experiment from today. It records (by chance) new audio into 8 recorders and plays them randomly. If you dont like the distortion, dial down the audio lag remote. Bar length and Play triggers are also nice to play around with.

Livestream 2023-01-30 Surprise

I did a small surprise live stream yesterday. I had lots of fun and thanks to all for tuning in. We did 2 drafts. The first is a longer ambient collage with synthesized rain and slow evolving pads. Most of the stuff is made in the grid. And in the end, we had some fun with synthwavy stuff.

Eventide Misha for Bitwig

Misha by  @EventideAudio  is an innovative Eurorack instrument/sequencer that utilizes a unique, interval-based approach to playing and creating melodies.

Some major differences are that you cant exceed an octave. You wrap around with the notes. I see it as a feature. You can also tune in your own scales by altering the intervals on the merge module.

Basic Pitch - Open Source Audio2Midi

In this video, I'm demonstrating how to use the open source website Basic Pitch to convert audio to MIDI. It is easy to use, does  not require a login or payment, and does not upload or store audio. 

I know some of you recommended Samplab, but it´s very hefty priced at 9€ a month  and it needs to upload audio to the cloud.

Baby Audio Freebies

In today's video, I discussed three free plug-ins by Baby Audio. These plug-ins are Magic Dice, Pitch Drift, and Magic Switch. I  showed how to use them in Bitwig Studio as well as in other DAWs. I  demonstrated how to use them to create a chorus effect, a unison effect,  and a reverb effect. Ambient Improv Attack - 35min Jam

Yesterday, I created a 35-minute ambient drone jam using a variety of  tools, including Tomofon, Diva, and several hardware synths. I also  utilized Valhalla Supermassive for added depth and TouchOSC for  modulation controls. To enhance the visual experience, I employed  Vision4X as a visualizer. The Behringer Poly D was used for the bass,  while the M32, Diva, and Piantoteq contributed to the melody.

Creating a lush Reverb in Bitwig

This video explains how to use the FX Grid in Bitwig Studio to create a unique reverb effect. It involves stacking multiple all-pass devices and manipulating their delay times to create diffusion, as well as adding in a modulated delay and low/high pass filters to shape the sound. The video also demonstrates how to bring in the dry signal at different stages of the chain to prevent contrast between the dry and wet signals.
