There are a lot of frames that are close ups on the deer this page. If I wanted to get the idea of the page across -- The deer drops, the antler breaks, and Tamberlane thinks it looks like Walter -- then I'd only need three frames.
However, I wanted to really get across the feel of the event. There's a narrow frame of the antler snapping because it's only a short period of time. Then there's a wide pan...

Word balloon placement is always an interesting prospect on a comic page. In that first panel, I moved Tamberlane's "AH!!" on top of Piper's (with a little shadow to help differentiate) because she's startled and reacts in the middle of what Piper is saying, not after.
I had considered moving Isaiah's question up to the top right of the second panel, but that would have moved his speech aft...

Composition notes:
First panel is a close up because Oakewood is kind of intruding into her space both physically and emotionally.
Second panel Tamberlane is much smaller because she feels small and helpless (lol literally).
Third panel, the playing field is evened out.
Fourth panel, Oakewood is less concerned so he's pulling back, but he still has the focus.
