I'm not taking your money right now.

Since I haven't been able to work on the game recently, I decided it would be unfair to continue taking your money. As such, I have changed how Patreon Charges you all. It is now based on a per creation basis instead of monthly. You will not be charged again until I change it back at some point in the future when I can dedicate more time to work on Explore! and/or the games made with it.

New Release 0.17.07.18.00

Sorry about the long silence. I'll start things off by saying that the game has continued to be developed. Jemini has made steady progress, we have picked up a new coder in the person of soobtoob, and most recently we have a pledge of a dedicated artist who is more promising as a long term partner for the game than Blargsnarf can afford to be (no offense to Blargsnarf at all). So things are actually going quite well for the game.

I am having trouble myself dealing with workin...

Lewd House Release 0.17.05.21.00

Well, Jemini seems to be pretty up to date on how to write for the game now; and has decided to make a release. There isn't a ton of new content, because most of the time was spent getting up to speed for Jemini, and me sorting my life out. Moving forward I will be working on Photoshoping some nude sprites as voted on by my $10 patrons.

Jemini has provided a changelog of sorts for this version, so I'll just post that there (I 'm horrible at keeping changelogs myself):

May Poll (LOL)

Okay, so for my $10+ patrons the poll this month is about where I should focus my efforts getting back to working on the game. With a writer working with me, I can potentially focus on other matters. Choose where you think that my efforts would best benefit the game, and I will work on that.

Status Update

So I'm working now. It's not a dream job by far, but it will cover the bills. As I stated before this means that i will have less time to work on the game once everything is settled around here; but it's a step in the right direction for getting everything on track until/unless I get enough coming in on Patreon to live off of the pledges.

My writer has mostly gotten the hang of adding content to the game. There are only a few concepts he has to master then I expect a lot of material wil...

Painful News

I want to apologize to everyone for the lateness of this update. My world has gone to hell. At first I thought I could just push through the issues that I am facing and soldier on. Things have just gotten worse and worse however.

A little over a week ago, my mother was diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, liver, and spine. I have been taking care of her full time for the last four years since her last bout with throat cancer with both of us living off of her pension and social security. ...

Surge of new patrons

Wow, I saw a surge of new patrons today. It's unusual since there wasn't an associated release, but I appreciate the support. I assume this is due to one of my fans posting about my game somewhere on the vast open fields of the internet. Thank you very much for spreading the word. If my game is popular somewhere, let me know and I'll pop by to lend my support and answer questions.

With the new $10 patrons voting in the poll, my focus will be shifting for the remainder of April. I have a...

Lewd House Error Corrected

My apologies, everyone. There was a bug introduced into the inventory system with last night's release. I have fixed it, and put up a new release. Please re-download if you are having issues. (This will not fix saves made with the error present).

New Version of Lewd House on my Blog

New Release:

  • Added all basic gameplay. This includes a way to manage all of the needs in the game.
  • Scheduling is set up so that NPCs move around the map, but only some of the characters (Dad, Mom, Lana, and Lisa) have their schedules input at this time. I got tired of writing the schedules, as it is very tedious.
  • Alert popups for low needs and most stat changes by user suggestion.
  • Revamped Action display by user suggestion.
  • Darker colo...

Weekly Report: 17.03.24

I've been hard at work on Lewd House this week. I have added a pop-up to sometimes inform you of changes to statistics. Additionally there is a pop-up to warn of low needs values. The tutorial is complete. Schedules are working so that characters will move from room to room, and are set to vary their schedules depending on whether it is a weekday or weekend by choosing from a range of selections by the hour . . . but I haven't made those schedules yet. The start of the content filter...

Weekly Report 17.03.18

Needless to say I've been busy working on The Lewd House. The engine is 95% complete, with only one major function to be worked out. The game is playable through the tutorial, but ends there. This is my most fully realized game EVER. It's mostly just content addition from here out.

Weekly Report 17.03.12

So, I've been rather busy adapting Explore! to yet another project. As a simpler concept it should be easier to help me along in the developement of Explore! It's already further than any other game concept that I have built over the years, but is not yet ready for public consumtion . . . you, however, are not the public. You are my patrons.

The game is called The Lewd House: The Summer of Sexy-Time. It is an adult parody of the Nickelodeon show The Loud House....

(Bi) Weekly Report 2017.03.03

Sorry about skipping a week folks. I've had a lot on my plate of late. In that vein, there is also little to report. The basic structure for building maps in the Tools stand-alone is there, I just have to impliment the actual building of said maps. I don't really remember if I said this before or I did not, so please excuse me if I repeat myself, but this will allow you to make your own maps room by room instead of relying on outside maps (found or drawn) one of the limitations of this will b...

I delayed this report hoping that I could get the Manual/Tool standalone far enough for a screenshot at least. Unfortunately, I just haven't had the time. Sorry everyone. Hopefully I'll have something visual to show next week.

Weekly Report: 2017.02.10

Well, here's this week's report. Everything is set up for the room mechanic. I'm now workin on maps and the map-builder stand alone. I believe that I will be making the stand alone double as the manual and the code builders for all the modules of Explore! The next actual release will be when I have rooms, maps, and events finished. At that point, the simplest kind of Explore! games will be possible using the engine.

Announcing: Seven Stones

As I build Explore! it's probably best to make a game with the engine in parallel to demostrate it's abilities, and how to use the engine. To that end, I will be making a game I am calling Seven Stones. This game concept evolved from my thought that I needed a vessel that was specifically designed for Explore! It will use all of the modules that I am building for Explore!

Plot: You (a character defined entirely to fit your own wishes) find an ancient ring with seven emp...

Weekly Report 2017.02.02

Okay, so this is my first weekly report. I will try to tell you folks where I am at on the engine at least once a week. Hopefully I can keep this up, and keep you all informed.

Currently I am working on the Room Module for the game. This module is the heart of the system and is, by its very nature, VERY complex. It incorporates the map, travel systems and the event systems, and must intigrate with the inventory and character systems to be able to track where people/items are....

Cleaning the Code

I am currently working on cleaning up my code and provide better in-code documentation (aka commenting my code). Hopefully this will help users of Explore! more easily understand how to modify the code for their own purposes.

What should I focus on first?

Let's decide the direction I take with Explore! There are quite a few modules and features that I can work on. Which do you consider to be the most important?

Well, here we are. Patreon. Let's hope for a bright future for Explore! As I pick it back up, I'll be working at improving the code by adding more comments and generally documenting things to make them easier to understand.
