Should I change my watermark?

recently i made a commission that i thought went really well, the client was nice and understanding and fun to work with, they asked me if i could make my watermark smaller, which i explained i wouldn't because art theft honestly makes me really anxious

they said ok and didnt make a big fuss about it in the moment, but when i got their review on my work they gave me a 1.7 stars and said it was a 'horrible practice' on my part
