Meet Smidge the rescue kitten.
Found - filthy, shaking and crying - under a wheelie bin near a very busy main road!
She had me (Laura) from the first cry, the boys were (of course) easily smitten but Captain and Ronnie took a little while longer to come around.
No rats on this boat any time soon!

Clearly feeling better now then….the boys are officially back to climbing everything! (Spot Noah 😂).
They both start SAILING SCHOOL this weekend here at Preveza Marina (they go out every Saturday and Sunday year round) and we are BEYOND EXCITED for them!
Laura has been teaching theory and sailing terminology for the last couple of months and now they are finally going to get to put it into practise!

Severe flooding….huge waves….gale force winds, thunder and lighting are set to smash the Ionian from tomorrow morning until late Sunday!
Even Ronnie has found a hiding spot 👀
LUCKILY we are in a protected marina, tucked up, alongside on a concrete wall with heaps of cushioning and a bar within spitting distance.
However Ross was quick thinking enough to make sure the spare fridge was turned on and filled with beer.

Ok so I mentioned in the Sailing Holly Blue Facebook Private Members group (find it if you haven’t yet - regular updates and extra content) LIVE earlier this week that there was a ‘bit of wind’ coming this weekend and we’d be ‘just fine’.

We are having the best time this shoulder season….maybe it’s the newfound lust for life we have after a very tricky september or maybe it’s the sleepy autumn sailing slow-down and cooler nights that are giving us more energy and lust for life.

You guys may or may not know that Laura has just been discharged as an outpatient having spent around 5 days in hospital - she was transferred to Patras from Zakynthos as an emergency last Friday and has quite the time of it!
Thankfully our amazing family who were visiting us at the time took the boys under their wing so that Ross could be by her side and she will now be staying close to the hospital under treatment for one week and then further scans/tests will determine the next move....
