Let me know if I should do more of these, because normally my nightly show evaporates into the ether after 24 hours, which is quite nice, but I know some of you don't have or use instagram, so I'm open to persuasion.

I just finished recording a quad of last posts with Wil Anderson who is a delight to work with - he did the most out of the gate research and prep of any of my cohosts (apart from Josh Gondelman) despite being probably the most successful career wise. I guess that’s how you get to stay successful over more than two decades.

The brilliant Sam has stepped up and she has agreed to help me begin producing these again. Here’s a picture of some early tests. I’ve had a few requests to get the “no-one’s going to die / we’re all going to die” necklaces back available for people and was a bit stuck as the lovely artist who was helping me before had to stop producing them.
These ones and some “only the unfinished can contain the infinite...” should be up on the website again soon in a very very limit...

Having a day off yesterday was important - I was absolutely wiped out. It reminded me of a thing that’s probably important. I learned it while grieving (so educational!).
It’s totally possible to feel normal when everything is chaotic and uncertain or awful around you - there’s an innate pragmatism that lets a lot of us get on with things and put our feelings or fear aside. But it takes extra juice.
You might feel absolutely normal, and then you’re absolutely exhausted but...

I've known Emma since we were at Cambridge together, in the same College. I adore her - she's lovely, funny and brilliant, worked as a NASA scientist, and is now starting her own Science Education project. If the current times have proved anything, it's that the whole world is pretty bad at understanding science, so I'm thrilled that Emma is turning her giant brain to the cause.

Is anyone else having the ankle-tap-to-your momentum of lockdown finding memories of people and emotions you’ve busied and lifed and run yourself away from clutching you at odd moments of the day and nightmare?

Hallo lovely Patreonites! I have finished my solo quarantine as of today. I went for a walk and a little run - I could feel my eyeball muscles stretching at seeing the horizon, it was so very very nice.
A lot of what I found hard work about being in full quarantine was the combination of no people and no outdoors - I feel so much more human just being able to be under the sky, and in front of the ocean.
