     This year the workshop was particularly intense, because we had a lot of trainees. The models were put to intense shooting. So I hardly took the camera out.

     A small "school bus" is set up just below the parking lot. 

it deserved a full sun session, to give the Californian side. but I could not help but continue the session on a wagon in the shade, to return to my classics ....

       We only had 5 minutes because we were in the middle of the workshop.

         But there was a pure place, a beautiful light, and a perfect model for it. The urgency can sometimes reinforce the intensity of the moment, and obliges to be attentive and concentrated, no second chance ..... the result is only more condensed.

     First test with Amandine, and first nude session for her.

    It was last year, and I have to be unhappy with myself in this session. Was it the embarrassment of the model (yet very pretty and very voluntary) that I could not evacuate, or simply a day without. 

     As here, I allow myself to be transparent, I wanted to publish this session, to illustrate the fact that sometimes, despite the experience...

        First little session with Aline, which dates from 3 years ago, and of which I had never published the images, except one in the book "No More Hiding". 

    Still on the docks next to my studio. There was an abandoned sofa. That was enough to give us the theme, we took advantage of it ......

Kate in a cloud....

it was 5 years ago, we were on a beach in the southwest with a photographer friend.

       In the middle of the afternoon, a small sheet of mist arrived from the sea. The light has changed, to become strong and diffuse at the same time. I ran to my car to get my camera. The session was short because the cloud only stayed a few minutes.

    And I have never found such astonishing light .....

        I risk myself little to the duo.We may have 2 beautiful models, it is often difficult to find a balanced duo. And in the nude, the subject becomes all the more sensitive. 

      I had already shot with Marie and Marianne, but never together. To acclimatize, we first played a more lively version while walking around, until the bond and trust between the 2 completely established itself.

Archive and Pola

     At that time, it was for me the transition between working in film and digital.

     I was therefore still working in medium format (like here) with black and white film. and I was always doing an ending polaroid, to have a real memory of it.

         This year, the sun has decided to keep quiet, and the temperatures remain  fresh.

       Not always easy for models, suddenly you have to make the shooting fast. But I feel comfortable with this gray but soft atmosphere with very little contrast. Which certainly fits with my melancholy  and the decorations around my studio ...... and then this naked  and dressed side at the same time,...

             Particularly in the ' la loge des rats' which was the series I worked on the longest in only 12 m2.

       I find images that I liked very much, but that I did not have. published in the book. First for reasons of space, and above all for reasons of consistency in the story.

vanille natural in studio

        I had wanted to work with Vanille on an outdoor series for a while.

    Because in addition to her pretty body, I like her mischievous face, with despite her femininity, a little tomboy side that I appreciate in my image style.

    Unfortunately on the day of the shooting, the temperature fell far too low. So we fell back on a simple session in natural light in the studio, on my eternal sofa. B...

Delphine in middle of concrete

        I fell back on this shooting with Delphine which dates from last fall.

 I had never posted it because I was not happy with what I had done. given the place and the model, there was surely better to do. I had kept them in black and white.

       But looking at the images again, I said to myself that the composition was interesting, and above all that Delphine's softness and skin stood out better...

edtio with marie

               here comes in preview the series i did last week with marie. First shoot outside of 2021. It was cold ( 10 degtrees c ), so i made it fast ( only 1 hour ). And, the result was above my expecting. We have 17 images. here is the first part, witch will be published in   aftereden " magazine.
