Press brake thoughts

Bending metal is not really something I can do in my shop. The closest shop that can do it is about an hour drive.

I've been looking at press brakes in the 48-72 inch width range, maybe 30-60 tons. My budget would probably limit me to an older mechanical brake. I've never used one before. Would it be worth the cost and space it would take up?

Hydraulic repairs are always fun...

The Lost Edison Motors Video

I pulled my Edison Motors video down due to my failure to anticipate people's reactions. I was waiting for Edison to do some testing and post some results before taking another stab at it. But, it doesn't seem like that's going to happen any time soon.

In the meantime, here is the original video.

When/if Edison ever posts some test results, I would like to make another video about the whole concept. I still think it's interesting, but I also think the hype train is way overloade...

3rd Option for Office/Mezzanine

Door under the stairs seems to be the runaway favorite. But what if I reversed it?

Just to clear things up, the ground floor will be an office and electronics work area. The second floor will be storage.

Office/Mezzanine Door

I'm framing up the new office space and need to order a door. I can put the door under the stairs with a landing for forklift access, or keep it simple and leave the stair how they were in the old loft design.

What do you think?

Edison Motors Video

I decided to pull the Edison Motors video after talking with them and Deboss garage. I worked hard on the video, but it didn't have the effect I intended. Some people interpreted it as Edison being a scam and me "calling them out", which was certainly not my intent.

I'd like to make more videos about EVs, but opinions are so strong on both sides of the issue that I don't think I have the diplomatic skills to pull it off.

Engineering Type Videos

I got a lot of support in the last video for more engineering/electronics/computer type videos. Would you like to see them on the normal Watch Wes Work channel, or should I move them to a second channel? Engineering type videos take much longer to make and cannot be released on a weekly basis. 

Also, keep in mind that I would not be able to run two channels at the same level as my current channel, so one would necessarily have to suffer to feed the other. I can see pluses and minus...
