Full Metal Panic! was the main reason I got back into anime. When I happened to catch it on TV, I was blown away by its high-quality animation. I hadn’t realized anime had evolved to such a level.

It’s been years since I last watched Shirobako. I’ve been holding off on watching the movie because I heard the story was a bit too realistic.

This time, I rewatched a few episodes and finally watched the movie as well—it wasn’t as daunting as I had imagined.

Unfortunately, Yano-senpai only appeared at the very end. But then again, if someone that competent had been around the whole time, the story wouldn’t have had as many twists and turns.

Exclusive Content: NieR: Automata Doujinshi Storyboards (2/3)

I've always adhered to a fixed format for NSFW doujinshi: 24 pages.

The first three pages serve as an introduction, establishing basic character interactions, and then it moves straight into the main action.

Sometimes, I draw something on impulse, but since the composition is relatively simple, it might not be the best fit for social media, so I’ve decided to put them here instead.

In Persona 5, Tae Takemi is my favorite character.

It's not just her personality—her outfit also perfectly demonstrates what "genius character design" means in its simple yet impactful style.

However, the game's art style is quite tricky to replicate. If I were to draw her in black-and-white using my own style, I couldn't fully stick to the original design, nor could I stray too far from it.

Exclusive Content: NieR: Automata Doujinshi Storyboards (1/3)

I often receive emails asking how I create doujinshi and how to start making one from scratch. Recently, while organizing my files, I came across some sketches of old works. Some of these doujinshi were collaborative projects, so I can’t share the detailed drafts, but the storyboards, which serve as the outline, were entirely done by me. Since some time has passed, I thought it would be fine to make these sketches public.

Yoruichi and Yushiro.

I can't believe there are so few drawings of Yushiro, even Kubo himself hardly drew him.

In some ways, he's even more appealing than Yoruichi (yes, in certain ways).

Kubo is really amazing at designing incredibly beautiful characters and then not giving them any screen time.

Like Halibel, like Riruka, like Cirucci.

I would love to see more of them in bigger panels, and if possible, I’d even wish for each of them to have an entire manga dedicated to their stories.

Today, TRIGGER released the trailer for the new season of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, stirring up ancient memories within me.

It was probably around 2011 (or was it 2010?) when our first doujinshi was based on Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

It wasn't NSFW, and aside from giving some advice and acting as the driver for pick-ups and drop-offs, I didn't really participate much in its production.

Even so, it remains a fond memory.

There are some titles that I've been following over the decades, from my middle school days until now, and they've almost become a part of who I am.

Nemu and Giselle

When I first saw the character Nemu in high school, I fell in love with her instantly.

She’s my favorite female character in Bleach, and honestly, I watched the series entirely because of her.

Unfortunately, she didn’t get much screen time throughout the long serialization.

I’ve been waiting for the chance to draw her for so long, and her performance in this episode of the anime didn’t disappoint at all.

Toga and Ochako

I really love Kohei Horikoshi's design for female characters.

Mirko goes without saying, but burnin and Tsuyu are also my favorites.

I've always wanted to draw Toga, and I took this opportunity to revisit the original manga.

Then, I found a pairing that I absolutely love.

I hope Kohei Horikoshi's next work will have a female protagonist.

And if the main cast were all women, that would be even better!
