Chapter 35:
‘Nima’ sighed as the door closed to her office. The third group to come to her ‘workshop’ in as many hours. Thankfully the staff down on the first floor had their orders.
Her earring shook in her ear, she quickly checked her prying wards, she might not know anything about how to make formations, but she knew enough to make sure they were working.
She quickly inject ted mana into the earring.
“Lord adjunct,” she said, keeping her voice carefully ...

“Sure,” Petor took out more maps and a heavy book.
Mya flipped through and then went to the middle.
The middle was made of card and popped out to create a large three dimension map of the city without all of the other towers, just the air tower.
At the top of the air tower there were several markers for air type dungeons the exterior dungeons were weaker, the ones in the center stronger. Down near the water gates it was like looking at a river delta, more of the dungeons...

Chapter 34:
Mya walked over to the table Hedgewick was sitting at, leading the others.
They’d eaten earlier before getting a bath, then gathering up their gear and storing their mounts. The traders and merchants were slower to rise with the long night.
Petor and Valter wore light traveling clothes instead of their armor. Desari and Mya wore their light armor, passing off as pants, vests and in Mya’s case a coat.
“So, are you going to accept the mission?” Hedgew...

Chapter 33:
Petor stretched in his seat and drank from his canteen.
The sun was coming to set as they slowly plodded forward through the merchant gate.
“More guards than normal,” the merchant sighed. “Usually just a few around, look at them, checking the ground and the air.”
“Can feel the jumpiness,” Petor said.
“Don’t bode well, don’t bode well at all.”
Petor stood up on his chair and held onto the cart, looking ahead.

Chapter 32:
Desari felt the approach to Aetheria before she saw it.
Her mana flowed more easily, increasing the amount she could draw upon. Casting her spells in such a place would make them twice as strong for half of the mana.
It was a heady experience, but still less than her prime. She gripped her hand tight. She needed strength. She had the gold she needed to buy the information on Ilus.
Her potions were a full grade weaker than what she could make before she died...

“Armor and weapons comes to about fourteen hundred gold, so three fifty each,” Mya said. “Coin and other bits adds up another seventy, so four hundred and twenty each. I talked to Jaxus and the others, they’d be interested in buying. That leaves us with just the Baron’s stuff.”
They sat around a campfire, the caravan was circled like it had been when it was a market, turned into a defensive structure instead.

Petor readied his blade.
They came out with several items, dumping them into the street. Petor grabbed him by the neck and drove his blade up and in, twist and out.
He slumped with a wheeze. Petor pulled him to the side and stored the body.
Footsteps came from the house. Petor moved up to the wall of the house again. Several more pans were thrown out without them coming out of the house.
“At least they got some good metal. The wife’ll be pleased with this.”

Chapter 30:
The days had passed quickly. Valter created armor, Petor trained with his weighted gear and grew plants. Mya created clothing, nets and her own potions beside Desari.
They’d refilled their supplies and then some.
Petor shifted in his new armor. It was as dark as night, the layers moving with one another to give him greater movement than any issued armor. It was also as quiet as the light scout armor he’d been using. Though it was several times stronger, more ...

Valter dropped his smithy’s orb onto the ground, it grew as he stepped into it, knowing where everything was like a second limb.

The hearth was still warm as he took out the spell scroll. A simple thing, red and blue glyphs covered the surface of the scroll within its glass casing. The Exterior showing condensation.
Valter cracked the spell casing against the hearth.

Petor turned back to the group.
Valter looked over and tilted his chin ‘what’s up?’
Petor shrugged back as if to say ‘was just thinking’, his eyes crossing to Desari.
“I’ve found several seeds that might interest you,” Desari said.
“Thank you,” He moved closer to her and looked at the projection.
“Are there any nethercap mushrooms?” Mya asked.
“Yes,” Desari and Hedgewick said at the same time.

Petor re-read his notes on Speak with Plants.
“This should work.” He thought of a connection spreading between him and the plant, his mana fell, and he sensed something scratching at the back of his head.
“Can you understand me?”
“Creator. Spawner. Feeder.”
“Not very complex then. What do you want?”
“Survive. Grow. Feast.”
“Okay.”
“Creator Feed. Spawn Grow. Agreement.”
