Did you know you can create a beautiful ambient pad sound from the sound of vinyl crackle? Rain, wind, birds chirping, tape hiss - literally any foley texture can become an ambient pad once you understand the frequency of C4 and how to layer it into something.
Below is the "C4 Note Generator" I mentioned in the video.
I also created a handful of super inspiring pads for my Patreon family. These are soft, atmospheric keyboard patches that are really fun to experiment with. Enjoy!

Ever wondered why some kicks just "sound better" than others when you audition them with your song?
Chances are, you might have been picking kick samples solely based on if they are in tune with your track.
It's difficult to tune drum samples, because the pitch can be hard to discern, since it's a different kind of sound than a piano or a guitar, for instance.

Have you ever had SIGNIFICANT trouble getting your guitars to sit right in your mix?
While I don't do a lot of rock-influenced music production topics on the Patreon - this mixing tutorial is ESSENTIAL, especially if you're struggling with your guitar sounds.
Electric guitars require certain things:
From slap-back echo, chambers and plate reverb - you can achieve classic-style vocal chain effects using the modern, stock Ableton modules found in your DAW.
This tutorial briefly goes through them, along with some parallel compression to enhance the presence of your vocal sound.
And if you'd like to just skip ahead and grab the full chain for yourself, you can find it linked down below! Enjoy :)

Spectral processing (Delay, Blurring, etc) creates unique frequency shifting delays and gorgeous, playable ambient textures!
Please see below, there is an attachment to the signal chain I designed in the video! This patch must be placed onto an audio track and you need some kind of audio loop playing in order to trigger new sounds. If you tag a MIDI track to the resonator, it will respond to your keyboard playing and interact with the blurring effect in a very musical way. Enjoy :)

This tutorial briefly covers the topic of Multiband Compression. While considered a more advanced audio engineering technique, multiband compression can have simple, practical uses.
It's great for helping the vocals cut through dense mixes that contain many instruments competing for the midrange frequencies in a track. It also can be a fantastic tool for the mastering chain when you finish a song!
