HI EVERYONE. Sorry this is two days late this time, a lot has been going on at once for me.

I was hoping to have the script done much earlier than this, but I found an absolute treasure trove of information to add to the video, and so it should be done either tonight or tomorrow. I don't think it's going to be any longer than the Time Cube episode, but it's going to be jam packed with information, a lot of it very obscure, forgotten, or misremembered.

Hey, everyone! I really hope you all enjoyed the little bonus video on the Final Fantasy House. Duke won't be replacing me on narration, but he's very likely to return in the future. I've been debating with myself about how I wanted to work with the Q&A videos, and for now I've settled on allowing all patrons to view it while I limit questions to the $2 tier. I like my public videos to be more polished than this, but I do want to be a bit more candid with you guys in these Q&As, so I've elected to make them Patreon-exclusive as a happy medium.  Enjoy!

This was actually an accident, but I ended up crashing their podcast for the first hour. Had a bunch of fun chatting with them, though!

There's, like, nothing to report this week. I just... kept researching and constructing my panel. It got a little bigger than I expected (surprise, surprise), but otherwise, all goes well Looking to be done on time as long as I stay focused.

Flying out Thursday for Too Many Games! I'll do my best to remember to take pictures, but I'm really really bad about it, so I make zero promises.

Patreon Server fix!

If you were a patron who wanted to get into the Discord server, then I just received instructions on how to do so if you were already a patron before I created it yesterday.

All you have to do is "update your pledge." (You don't have to change the amount that you're pledging for) Then you will be given the "thank you" message which should have the link to the server.

Patreon Server Is Now Live!

Just like it says on the can. To do so, go to Discord and link your Patreon account on your Patreon settings page. You should automatically be invited once you do that. If you're having trouble getting on the server, try unlinking Discord and Patreon, updating your pledge (it doesn't have to be a greater or smaller amount), then linking them again.

New $2 Tier Reward: Q&A Questions

I THINK I know what I'd like to do to swap out the bloopers: with each new episode, each patron would be allowed one question about each episode after it's released. These questions would be collected in a unique post for $2 Patrons, who would ask them in the comments. I've found myself significantly more focused and less... explosive while recording audio, and since I don't want to fake bloopers, I may have to come up with an alternative which I'll run by all of you.

Hey everyone. This most recent episode's narration proved especially difficult and frustrating to do, and I realized about halfway through that I was instinctively cutting off each take and deleting it before I could save it.

While it won't be the same, I would like to make it up to you guys somehow, and the best idea I came up with was a full audiobook of a certain important element of the video which will probably come out to around forty-five minutes.

I'm really sorry about this, guys...

Haaaaaaaaaaaappy Monday! I'm in writing mode right now, so I feel like doing this update as a text post.

Progress on the script goes slower than usual, but for a good reason. Up to this point, my process has been separated into research, writing, narrating, and editing phases. However, I usually would find the images I wanted to use during the editing phase, which often came from the sources I was using for that particular part of the script. Progress Update 5/17/18 (Supplemental)

Thought I'd let you guys know that I finished up the research phase just today. I know I said in the progress update on Monday that I was planning on having the script done earlier, but while I thought I was finishing up research, I discovered that the rabbit hole went even deeper than I thought. I won't spoil it, but I will say: thank GOD for the Wayback Machine and Google Cache. This episode is going to be a doozy.

Notes:

Three Down the Rabbit Holes in production at the moment.

One will be a regular episode (a bit shorter than the recent ones) due out before the month's end.

The other two are the live panels occurring next month at Too Many Games, which will be recorded and uploaded to the channel.

All three are in the research phase.

Hey everyone! Not much to update on this week. I took the last week off to calm my nerves, but I'm returning to work today. It wasn't until late last week that I really realized how wound up I was. Today, I start digging through my Discord suggestions, Twitter DMs/mentions and e-mails to find a good topic for the next video. My plan right now is to make a 20-minute episode and have the topic be a bit lighter than the last three. HOWEVER, I'll also be preparing something else.
