Episode 1 of a new podcast with Jabroni Mike where we look at weird and dumb things. To kick things off, we learn about... how to mix alcoholic drinks with semen.

Hello everyone! As you might have noticed, depending on how long you've been pledged, I've been struggling to keep up with audiobooks during this year. While a lot of this has been due to various acute health issues that have arisen and somewhat complicated and personal life occurrences, some blame lies on my lack of perseverance, as well. Some of this has been growing pains; I've only been making Down the Rabbit Hole professionally for a bit over a year now, and I've been strugg...

Here we go! As always, please limit yourselves to one question, and try not to ask multiple questions within the same comment, though things like "why or why not?" are just fine. If there's any reason why I can't answer a question, I'll make sure to reply to your comment so you have the opportunity to ask another one.

I made a little adjustment with the compression on my voice for this one, so please let me know what you think if you're so inclined.
And with that, we're all caught up for audiobooks! Thank goodness. I'll have the poll for the next audiobook up in just a few days.

Hi everyone! Just a little progress update to let you all know I'm still alive. This last video was surprisingly exhausting so I decided to take a little bit of time off. Sort of. I'm catching up on Patreon content. I'll be all caught up this week which is exciting and then I'll be back to work on the next episode. I plan on it being a shorter one this time around, somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour. Thank you all for bearing with me!
And if you're new from the Wings video: welcome...

If you hear a loud sound in the background during the audiobook, that was probably me slamming my fist down on the arm of my chair as I got too into character for Arthur Dent.
I'll be doing one more audiobook from Hitchhiker's guide, which will cover chapters 2, 3, and 4, but should be about the same length.
Enjoy!

Also a couple of people have seen the first hour and the reception has been very positive. I think this will be a good one.

Quick correction: I said the TempleOS episode when I meant TimeCube! Gene Ray obviously did not create TempleOS.

Hello! Obviously the August audiobook isn't going to come out on time. If you were planning on cancelling your pledge but still want the August audiobook, please DM me so I can get you the file once it's ready!
To those planning on continuing their pledge: the audiobook should be ready in the next few days, and it's going to be a really fun one.

I have officially dropped the price of the Audiobook tier from $10 to $5! This change is retroactive, so anyone who pledges this amount will get the 11 audiobooks previously published under that tier.
If you were at the $10 audiobook tier, it is now technically deleted; Patreon recently made some backend decisions and decided you have to declare what tier you want, so those already pledged at that tier will have to re-select the Audiophillic tier to get access to the audiobooks again.&n...

Hello everyone! This is a public call to ask all of you what YOU would like to see in a $5 tier. It's something I've been putting off and I'd like to have it ready before the new video's out to provide people with something a little less extreme than the bump from $2 to $10.
Leave your ideas for a $5 tier in the comments!

First draft of script is done, 11,000 words long
1,000 more words than the TempleOS video
Going to try to get this out by the end of the month
Stream with Bored Gamer is in the works to look at the progress of Star Citizen
Bored Gamer is an ideal candidate because he has never accepted any money from the studio making Star Citizen.

Thank you all again for being so patient with me while I catch up on these I've been feeling much better now, and I'm rather happy with how these turned out.
Here we have the opening to what is often considered the opposite of Orwell's 1984: Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. (My headcanon is that Brave New World is just 1984 but hundreds of years in the future) Enjoy!

I decided, for June and July, I would theme the two of them to dystopia. The first is Chapter 1 of 1984, which I do hope you'll enjoy.

The most overdue audiobook is now available! This weekend is dedicated to finishing June and July's. Thank you all so much for being so patient with me as I was ill.
In the interest of expedience, I'll be foregoing polls for the June and July audiobooks so I can get those finished as soon as possible. Enjoy!

Now that I'm finally mostly recovered, I'm ready for questions on the hurdy gurdy! I know it's quite late, but if you have a question about the instrument that you've been burning to ask, ask it here and it'll be answered in a video on The Other Channel, which will also be linked here.

As you might know, the composer for Down the Rabbit Hole, Ryan Probert, will write sheet music for my more musically-inclined patrons in case you want to try your hand at playing them yourself! This is the sheet music for the section in the Hurdy Gurdy episode speaking about the movement of the instrument to the beggar class, a gorgeous, slow piano piece. If you record yourself playing, PLEASE let me know! Enjoy!

Hello everyone! I am at long last mostly recovered and feeling human again. I mentioned this in the Patreon Discord as well, but I just returned from a trip to Austria to spend time with a friend where, ironically, I caught a cold exacerbated by my still-raw throat. It has been a bit of a brutal month.
However, work on the next video forges onward. Unfortunately, just before I left for Austria, my computer broke down (likely an issue with the power supply), and I'm taking the opportunit...

Hey everyone, I know this progress update is coming a bit early, but some things have occurred that I think merit an update. I've been hit by a string of bad luck recently: I contracted a particularly aggressive and debilitating strain of strep throat that had me in a bad way, and the first round of antibiotics were unsuccessful in treating it. I since have been put on new antibiotics and these seem to be working, but for the past week I've been trying to recover and my throat is still not he...

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I've been so absent, I meant to get you guys updated earlier this week but I came down with strep throat. The new video is well underway, and research is going well. It's definitely been a bit brutal emotionally, but the research is not nearly so difficult to perform as the videos such as TempleOS because it's been catalogued so much better. I wouldn't be surprised if this was another longer one, between 40 minutes and an hour, but we'll see when it's time for scripting...
