Early Access Turtle Clan Daimyo

This guy has taken days to paint and edit but here he is finally! I will be painting the Turtle Clan first, starting with the Daimyo!

Hope you like him! Was a big change from the giant dragon before, and moving back to an Oni before the next clan member. Of course, even before him you'll see my first Rise of Moloch miniature painting! :D

Since this is a hot item for you guys I decided to post this a bit early to Patrons. Being just 1 guy with a full time job, large family and 3+ videos a week means I'm never ahead so don't ever expect regular videos early, but here's one 12 hours early for ya! :D

So a little story here: CMON contacted me out of the blue and told me how much they've been enjoying my videos. They then said they wanted to send this to me as a gift! Core box only but excited that this allows me to paint these guys with you as I know several of you are expecting this soon.

Poor Earth Dragon :(

So my first time playing Rising Sun and we notice this defect on the Earth Dragon. First time I've seen something like this, especially from CMON but I already have a replacement on it's way, they were super chill about sending a replacement. Looks like the plastic wasn't hot enough at the end and simply Simi melted into his shoulder. Thinking about cleaning it up and giving it away, thoughts?

Thank you for your support here and on Youtube! This is just the beginning and I look forward to seeing this post at the year's end to see how far we've grown! Considering I got here in 3 months from absolutely nothing, I can't wait to see what the big milestone is next!

Big things are afoot behind the scenes that I can't give details on yet, but the industry itself is being very supportive as well, meaning bigger and better things very soon!

First Oni finished!

Here he is! This might be one of my favorite miniatures (not to paint, I'll speak to that in the video). Design wise though, he is absolutely amazing!

In Spite of everything, this Oni is almost done.

The Oni if Spite is more difficult than I first imagined, but well worth it and doesn't require a lot of paints. Hoping to finish him up today!

Hey all! The video has been uploaded but as this is my first time (and this takes some time to actually put together) I do not have the painting guide quite set up yet. The fabled minis

Here's a sneak peek of the actual finished mini. This was my first time freehanding anything (the stars on the base) and I think something like this is actually perfect for a first try as I didn't want it perfect but instead "cartoony" so a quick, rough freehand works perfectly and will hopefully help build confidence!

Also, these minis are sculpted amazingly to add a lot of personality and uniqueness without needing much detail, but the flash is horrendous - the worst I've ever dealt with. It...

Look at all those paints used! Just need to base her and perhaps work on fixing her eyes some more. Glad my paints came in so I could start this project up again!

Time to ramp up production

The first batch of paint finally arrived! I've had $60 worth of paint in various stages of shipping for some time now and it's been holding up my painting plans. I have painting projects schedule out through the end of March with the next 6 fully planned out paint/technique wise. This shopping, while convenient and cheaper, has taken longer than I planned. Time to spend the weekend churning these out! Can't wait to start up again!

A little about the recent changes to Youtube Monitization

I really enjoyed highlighting this guy! A very well made model with more personality than I first thought looking at him. Also super easy paint list and it's actually pretty hard to mess up his skin. Just make it nasty!

Before I even backed the KS for Massive Darkness I my coworker was showing me the miniatures on the KS page and I spent my time discussing and critiquing them. This one I instantly pointed to and proclaimed for all those smart enough to listen (just him, reluctantly) that he would break because it's so small.

In all honesty though, it really is a poor design in my opinion. A fix would be to have molded his weapon to his shoulder since they literally touch. I'm sure there would have been a way ...

Ogre Shaman Paint List

Here's the Paint list for the Ogre Shaman. Also for some fun backstory: I accidentally made his video public about a week ago. I quickly caught my mistake and put him as private. When making him public again today there was no notification sent out to subscribers so I quickly re-uploaded the video, only for it to fail about 1.5 hours later stating that duplicates were not allowed.

Fallout Review

It's late (1am) but I just got done filming my Fallout review!  My hope is to edit it up quickly and get it published tomorrow, making it my second full game review.

My hope is that I keep improving that like I do my painting, but 2 isn't enough to tell well :) As always, I appreciate feedback!

Upcoming Content

Hey guys! As you might have guessed, the 5 Fallout minis will be covered on the channel. I will start with the T-60 Power Armor and then do the Goul. This will be IN ADDITION to my Massive Darkness paintings so no lost coverage there :) It's a lot of work for 1 dude but I'm happy to sit down and paint them!

Final Tease

This is a WIP picture. A this point she had all the base colors down and just needed a LOT of highlighting, especially on her skin to bring the color back to where it should be.

Additionally I had to finish the base and I was very surprised by just how much texture paint was needed, I'll have to buy a new pot soon! I think the base alone cost around $4 lol.
