I find it difficult to draw night scenes. I usually try to make the lighting realistic, and it turns out to be very dark and dirty. I tried to do it differently this time, much lighter thah I usually do, but shadows still look very dark.
How do you feel looking at this piece? Is it light enough to look peaceful and dreamy?

Personal sketch
So, I wanted to draw Taya as a teenager. Her youth was not easy, but she was strong and determined. At first I roughly sketched her outfit, but now I want to make a lot of changes to it to make it clear that she had to move from place to place often and her travels were not easy. This is exactly why I love such simple pieces - I can focus on details that I don't have time for in more difficult works.

But I had a lot of fun working on the lighting here! I saw a strong red reflected light from sand in a photo of large rocks in a desert, and it really inspired me to try to do the same effect on this piece
