An old doodle I found while looking through some files, drawn way back at the end of Poppy 6.
Kit probably swears like crazy every time she's not on-panel.

Della is a cowardly axolotl who wishes to collect knowledge of all types of magic in the world in one compendium. He decides to follow Frogo, Sal, and Ribbitina upon seeing their skills, and often helps save the day by coming up with a clever application of one of their spells.
In truth, however, Della is simply the disguised form of the sinister Salamander Prince, looking to steal Frogo's magical book and crown himself King, which he succeeds at accomplishing in Season 1's finale. Despite obt...

Frogo is a young and kind witch lad who finds a book full of magical secrets intended for those who have pure hearts. His dad Sal doesn't have one, and so he ends up being cursed into a powerful, but immobile staff for messing around with it. Funzie Frogo is the story of reversing that spell.
At the end of "Season 2," Sal sacrifices himself to help seal away the terrible Salamander King ravaging the land. Frogo tragically loses his father, his magical staff, and sight in one of his eyes all at...

As mentioned in the aeroplane update, Flora is home to a unique structure known as the Magisphere, an internal field of magic that exists some several dozen km beneath the planet's surface. Additionally, Flora has no magnetic field, and its stars are in constant orbits around the planet rather than the other way around, so there is no such thing as "North" on Flora, rendering compasses useless and necessitating the use of the Magisphere's stress points as means ...

Ribbetina is a "charmaster," which means she's a kind of witch who uses symbols and gestures in order to cast magic. Since she spends most of Funzie Frogo stuck as a tadpole, she's only able to use her most basic martial arts charms for a while.
Also, frogs sure have extremely large thighs. It's kind of their thing.

Once upon a time, there was a mighty mountain bandit who took whatever he pleased from all those who dared to pass through his domain.
He went undefeated for a thousand duels, from man and monster alike, before finally being struck down by a righteous noblewoman of incomparable skill.

There are soul patches sewn down the backside of the uniform, enabling the most dangerous aspect of the Iron Lace Palm style granted by their focus and mastery of movement: the ability to control multiple arm motions at once. The Fangs of Felis stance can produce hundreds of extra limbs, making it Petunia's most powerful state. Despite their magical form, it would be naive to assume she wouldn't be capable of using them against Poppy.
Originally, I planned on having Petunia m...

Sorry for neglecting to update last week, here's a double update involving Petunia's combat outfit, the traditional uniform of an Iron Lace Palm Grandmaster, her rank denoted by a black collar.
She hasn't dared to wear it in over a decade, but it still fits her like a glove. It's somewhat ironic that the backless design perfectly shows off Petunia's vow of pacifism.

2017-11-12 21:39:53 +0000 UTC View PostWe saw a wide variety of gangs menacing the industrial district of Canopy back during Poppy 3, but we didn't really get to spend much time learning about them. So here's a quick rundown of some of the bigger ones.

There's something very wrong with the oceans on Flora. They do weird things like push upwards into plateaus and spiral into whirlpeaks. In fact, there's no such thing as "sea level" on Flora, because the seas are... never level.

My apologies for missing the update last week! It completely slipped my mind, so there's two sketch updates this week.
This is a simplified diagram of Kit's personal aeroplane, a basic three-engine saucer type. It's actually kind of big, considering it only carries one passenger plus a small technical crew, but it's very stable and ensures a comfortable flight regardless of weather. So that's luxury for you.
